I know more about the history of boxing than you, and 5 entire generations before you know about financial responsibility. And Canelo dreams he could be as complete a fighter as Napoles

Sure enough he's had his clauses and judges that paved the way to wins in most cases. I'm not saying he deserves all the glory he gets. He definitely lost at least one fight to GGG and Kovalev was basically a shadow of himself in their meeting. But he deserves some credit for challenging himself constantly. Not many guys in modern boxing can say that.

Not really a Canelo fanboy here.
I do see what you see, but it's hard for me to give credit to a person that only fights when all the cards are stacked against his opponents, and it is almost a forgone conclusion that he will win the fight. By the way, ggg wasn't the beast he was perceived when canelo duck him after Cotto, and he lost the first fight for sure. What he tried to do to jack was horrible, how can a person put someone in that position where he could get hurt real bad, is beyond my comprehension.

Canelo was a great fighter, and for certain a future HOFer, but his resume was made by fighting big fighters who were past their primes.
          His best wins are:
          Austin Trout
          Erislandy Lara
          Danny Jacobs
          Amir Khan
          BJ Saunders
          Caleb Plant

Once you get rid of fighters he took on when they were over 35
Thats right, Cotto, Mosley, Mayweather, GGG, Kovalev, were all in their late 30s or beyond when Canelo fought them. I mean are we giving Leon Spinks credit for beating an old Ali? Or Kevin McBride for taking down Tyson? Of course not.

The truth is, Canelo's resume is bloated with old HOFers who are past their prime. To ignore this is to be overly biased, or willfully ignorant.
Thats not to write he isnt one of the greatest Mexican fighters ever, a future HOFer, and for a time the best P4P in the world. Its just to point out the facts of how his career was carefully managed to build a resume better on paper and retrospect than actuality.
