An old Donaire was able to crack Inoue's orbital bone with a single punch and Pacquiao definitely hits much harder than Donaire. So I could see a prime Pacquiao doing a lot of damage and stopping Inoue also. Inoue loves his jab and Pac loves to counter the jab with the split guard. So a well timed split guard could drop Inoue or partially blind him like in the Donaire fight. And the last thing you want is to be partially blinded against a prime Pac.

Also does Inoue hit harder than Marquez? Marquez was able to score stoppages against champions at Lightweight and Bradley says Marquez was a heavy hitter. It remains to be seen if Inoue's power carries at Featherweight or even Super Featherweight.

I watched enough of Floyd to know that in his prime, no one could have beaten him. It was his style, he perfected it and no one ever was going to catch him cleanly enough to hurt him. I didn't even enjoy alot of Floyd fights, but I have always had to acknowledge, he is just too good at hit and don't get hit. I don't believe any version of any fighter beats him. That doesn't make him the best ever for me, there were more physically talented fighters, there were far more exciting fighters, there were better boxer punchers. If there were a category for slickest but most annoying fighter all time, Floyd wins.

That to me is what Floyd never understood. Being the greatest isn't just about being slick enough to get the decision. It is about toughness, punching power, chin, etc. Floyd was slick as **** and no one beats him. But he isn't near the best fighter ever.

Yes but they were at 130, if Inoue gets to 130/135 those divisions have guys that could beat Morales and Barrera so it would be a hell of a feat if he gets to those weights.

Yah it seems all the best competition for Inoue is above 130. And I don't think he fights that high. So he might just end his career beating only 1 HOF'er whereas Pacquiao ended his career beating 7.

I have to acknowledge Floyd's place as one of the all-time greats, but there are fighters that would have defeated him both as a welterweight or maybe even in other weight classes. Sugar Ray Robinson beats him at any weight. I believe he would have struggled with Leonard and Hearns as well. Other greats like Duran were simply not quick enough to beat Floyd.

And he can use Manny’s very easy blueprint of fighting the weakest guys (like David Diaz, Hatton etc) AND weakening catchweights (Margarito, Cotto etc) to claim those titles.
