he should fight angulo.then see if a champ steps up.but of course, you have to get past angulo first, which i think won't happen.reason ,vanes is no *****,he will eventually go toe to toe with angulo and that will be his down fall.

Why people hate on Vanes I dont know. He beats a kid name Billy Lyell with messed up right hand and people get on him, when Lyell would go and embarrass John Duddy in his very next fight and now is ranked by the WBC in the top 15... and then he beats Andre Tsurkan into quitting in 6 rounds, something that took Angulo 10 rounds to do.. he sweeps the floor against a guy who was 18-0 (michael Medina) who was a Latino wbc belt holder and has gone undefeated since and Angel Hernandez who was embarrased by Vanes and look at his resume.... and everyone wants to tell me who has he fought? who the **** has dzinziruk fought? who the **** has PWILL fought? Carlos freakin Quintana beat him up and he fought a winky wright who hadnt fought in some 2 years... and Angulo got beat up by the first boxer he had seen and will ever see if his promoters are smart enough....

and dont get me started on Cory Spinks.... the only person i respect in the division in Sergio Martinez and he's the one that will give Vanes the most problems and am not sure VAnes is ready for
Please,i like Vanes but get of his nuts,Williams got beat by a Quintana who he wasnt even prepered for,he was meant to fight Kermit Cintron,a power punching unslick come foward fighter,we all seen what happened in a ROUND against Quintana in the rematch, and 2 year lay of or not,Winky Wright has never been that easily beaten,he even admited to losing and not getting robbed for the first time, and are u forgetting P.Will outfought and outworked a supposed hand wrapped Margarito to end his long title reign, the same Margarito who beat COTTO? Dont even try bring Pauls record down, when Vanes still hasnt fought a top 10,Paul would finish him off,****,even Williams win against Phillips ****s all over Vanes's resume, remember,Williams is fighting Pavlik next in a huge fight,Vanes is fighting TBA in Cancun on a Humberto Soto undercard

Vanes kills Dziniziruk, overprotected, overhyped, Euro boxer who nobody's picked... yes he's got a belt and his promoters have done a great job making sure he keeps it for as long as possible. As far as Angulo is considered I would love to see8 how Angulo would keep up Vanes, Angulo's only defeat came to someone who actually did what it took to win versus what Gary Shaw had told him to do. if you are a boxer you beat Angulo and Vanes would kill Angulo because he's a way better pure boxer than Angulo and we saw what Cintron did with similar talent to Vanes. As far as Spinks is concerned, thats the easiest fight out of all the contenders. Vanes would demolish that boring ass fighter and PWill will never take the fight because Vanes trully poses a threat to him.

The time will come where these guys cant hide behind the proverbial "this guy hasnt fought anybody", Vanes will be the mandatory to many of this guys and you guys will soon see what Vanes trully is capable of.

              Talk to me in then
you're a joke and your basing all this you say about vanes on what again? Alot of talk for someone that hasn't fought anyone! Alot of talk for someone that can't even make a television slot. why is that? Why is he opening up fight cards at 4pm instead of closing them out on televised fights? If he was that good why would arum pay no attention to him? have you even seen Sergi fight before? I don't think you have. To say Vanes is better than him based on what vanes has done is pathetic. Sergiy has dominated Santos, Lujan, and Joel julio and there's no one even remotely close on vanes resume better than any of those 3 guys. Get your biased nut hugging ass out of here!

Vanes has really come into his own in the last year and at 154, he'll give anyone a real fight.

Everyone says "he ain't fought nobody", but it doesn't stop many in here from crowning Martinez as some giant hill when he does not have much of a resume either.
