When Martin fought Joshua he just got hit and went down. He was clearly fearful of Joshua or maybe even fearful of being on the big stage. That being said Martin wasn't that good in his prime. But if you want to bash Anderson for his performance against Martin then bash Tyson Fury for his performance against Otto Wallin. Hell you should also bash Tyson Fury for being dropped and out boxed by the 180 pound light punching cruiser weight Steve Cunnigham.
You sound angry that Anderson is a ****ing bum. Deal with it *****

Lol you sound angry because your hero Tyson Fury is a junky loser. Also I couldn't give a damn about Anderson. I wanted Charles Martin to beat him. But yeah Anderson is a bum because he didn't knock out Martin so Fury is a bum because he couldn't knock out Otto Wallin and the other 8 opponents who went the distance with him.

Martin is in ten times better shape now than when he fought AJ. Takes all of it much more seriously, and knows his clock is ticking and he doesn't have long. He was MUCh more dangerous last night than he was 7 years ago in England.

Casual fans don't look at the nuances in fighters, as they progress or digress. Their arguments are only tied to "the results". Martin lost to AJ and looked terrible because his preparation and mental state were not in order. His preparation and mental state last night were those of a serious HW boxer and former Champ. He could have walked away with the 10 mill after the AJ fight and called it a day but he has instead worked hard to be the fighter he should have been in his short stint as a champ. He is a tough out. He has gotten progressively better and tougher. He lost last night, but he is a much better fighter .... unfortunately also older now. That said, I doubt AJ could beat him currently.

As per Anderson, it was tough, good intrp tp how hard the next levels will be. He has serious work to do and much experience to gain, if he is gonna pursue the championship. Personally, I love his team but I think they need some guys with more top level experience training guys at the top level, for him to continue progressing. Where is Eddie Futch when you need him? (Again, no disrespect to his team, they've done great with him his whole career).

Was it me? Martin looked huge at (supposedly) 250 lbs? And I thought Anderson looked small to be 243 lbs. What is going on? Anderson looked more like he was 225.

Jared Anderson proved he is one of the best heavweights. He only really didntt look good in one round, that Martin must have won.

Anderson barely beat an old, garbage Charles Martin. Anderson is supposed to be this big prospect and he's a ****ing bum. Wallin landed a good shot, Fury dominated the entire fight you ****ing moron.

Martin hasn't improved his technique, nor is he in better shape now than when he fought AJ. Stop the delusion you come out with. Martin weighed in at 245 against AJ and had a full camp. Martin came in at 250 against Anderson at a weeks notice. Martin has not come in as trim as when he faced AJ. Check his weights.

Tell me about this supposed bad preparation Martin had against AJ? Haha.

Martin looked the way he did because he fought a vastly superior fighter than he is. Anderson looked the way he did against a finished Martin who came in at short notice because he's nowhere near to the fighter AJ is. But go ahead and clown yourself like you did with Wilder. It's not like you have any shame or anything.

              Yeah, embarrassing.

AJ couldn't beat the finished version of Martin? Stop smoking crack in your hood, man. F3ck me you're dangerously delusional.

I just hope Big Baby is a big man and realizes that the stepping stone is higher than he thought
His defence needs big work cause Martin can crack but many crack even harder
Imo , Anderson needs to work on his footwork , looks very out of place , that being he’s in the way of his opponents punch quite often
I’ll give him credit that this was a good step up but needs to realize there’s much work to be done
The one thing that impressed me was how his chin held up
                JakeTheBoxer JakeTheBoxer likes this.

Good point really. AJ, at least pre headcase AJ, would have stopped the old version of Martin easily. AJ has big time power, which is really what makes his damn decline so frustrating.

I don't get why some people seem to want Anderson to be incredible. He is good boxer, smart guy, fun to watch against cans. Last night was what most if us were waiting for....had he stopped Martin convincingly, he would have shown he was ready for better comp.

Anderson had trouble with Martin's size and power. It doesn't make him a bum in my eyes, but it made him not a contender yet.

He has some intangibles, but I agree with you. More work is needed. I for one would love to see him put in that work and see it actually yield results because he could be in some great fights!

                      Yes , I don’t doubt it
But there is much work to do
At this point , if he fights Wilder , which I don’t rank very high , he gets knocked the fugh out
So that doesn’t say much about Big Baby
