floyd is also the type of fighter who can take advantage of every missed punch thrown at him--he has done this many times---the man know how to take advantage of every mistake his opponent makes---that takes a sixth sense and an articulate boxing mind---which is why pac, cotto, mosley, and even williams would be in for a world of trouble imo---

            1. Southpaw
            2. 6'1"
            3. 82" reach
            4. over 100 punches per round

But then again, this is dude can probably beat any welterweight out there. I see him going 12 rounds with Floyd and beating by being the more active fighter
Yeah i like paul to give him trouble but WW isn't his weight class I saw the fight against winky and that **** was impressive i've never seen somebody throw that many punches and still not show great fatigue... but he started off his career in the mid to high 150's and was able to condition pretty well and come down to WW and be in decent shape but the question is would he be able to duplicate that performance at WW now at 28 years old or could he ever duplicate that performance coming down because he didn't show quite that type of endurance when he fought margarito at WW. He was throwing similar numbers but by the end he seemed gas soooo its something to conside

I keep hearing P-Williams...but Quintana already proved that a little speed and movement will give P Will trouble

              Mayweather > Quintana

Yeah but I keep hearing he and his team screwed up in making weight and had trouble getting which is all the more proof that he doesn't belong in that division. I agree though floyd will get in that ass but if paul was in as good a condition as i've seen him at his best then I think he could give him some trouble. I said how floyd would win that fight on another thread though.

                  a few ways

FOR A TALLER FIGHTER WHO IS A BOXER-
i believe a tall rangey guy, who can control range with a good jab n straight right hand can beat floyd IF they make a boring fight out of it....make floyd lead and dont let the crowd or ur emotions dictate action..draw a line in the sand n meet him with the jab, then step back and make him reset and take the chance of closing down the distance again...a taller rangey guy does not have to press the action against floyd.....this was delahoyas mistake...he was too emotionally involved n got caught up in asserting himself against the smaller fighter....use the height n range n make floyd fight outside his comfort zone..
fOR A FIGHTER OF EQUAL HEIGHT(BUT A TRUE WELTERWEIGHT)
if ur physical attributes dont allow u to control range and distance with the jab....BUT u are in good enough shape to go pedal to the metal n fight the physcial bully typE of fight, then there are two things u must do....

one...dont stay on the straight line while ur inside...at times floyd will plant his feet n go into his shell, if u are in front of him..he can see n catch everything, do a quick step over outside of his left foot on the 45 degree angle and look for the left hook(like juan diaz used to step over and do)this way..the hook wont land on the right side of floyds face where his right glove is....it will split the guard!!!...the next effective punch to look for against floyds defense is ...the double right hand....throw the first right hand straight...AFTER THE FIRST RIGHT IS THROWN ,while in the motion of pulling the punch back, step in quickly, almost hop in immediatly...this will put ur body against his where u can pin his own left arm down against his own side....then depending on the angle of his shoulder roll...if he is leaned back, throw another striaght right hand, or if he is bent to the side, throw a chopping right hand(tim witherspoon like).....i have other ideas too..but these are a means to landing effective shots against floyd.......he is the man..but he is human!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Be a real world -class welter weight! This guy, for all of his talent, is not the most couragous boxer in the ring. He actually fights like he's scared to get punched. That's why he seldom puts any real hurt on fighters who are clearly inferior to him. Besides that, it is amazing to me how MW has manage to con the boxing public in general with his act. His fights rarely lives up to the hype--yet he still manages to gain world-wide support for his matches. Let us see him in a meaningful match with a real-live welter-weight such as SSM, Cotto or even Clottey and then if he defeats them in impressive fashion then, and only then, should high praise be warranted. Until then, all of his bouts should be boy-cotted.
