And you know this because? Your mom yelled it down to the basement.

Where are you getting that from?
      any literature or fight examples?

the rules are pretty specific. A knockdown is scored 10-8 unless another one is scored (or an equivalent 10-8 from the opponent occurs)

I’ happy to be proven wrong though if you are able to

A ten point must system means the winner of the round must get 10 points. In the example the dude posted that you replied on (if of course you saw it the same as that dude), it would have been a 10-10. I imagine we do not see that for the same reasons as we don't really see a whole lot of 10–8 rounds when nobody was knocked down. When we were being trained on this (was going to be a judge then life circumstances changed), it was stated that you better have ironclad arguments to do so.

It was a good fight Tank just got him with a great shot not the first time a fighter loses by body shot KO. Both fighters were fast and were punching hard, Ryan looked very fast and snappy with his punches but what surprised me the most was Gervonta's reflexes even though Ryan was that fast Gervonta was able to dodge the left hook 80% of the time and his ring IQ was really showing.

I didn't like the rehydration clause but it is what it is Ryan signed the contract and anyone with eyeballs can see he didn't look that bad at the weigh in and he was looking good in the fight as far as stamina and volume goes just got beat by the better fighter.

Garcia actually quit in this fight. Didn't even try to get up until the "9". He was going for the count out. You know when people say Joshua quit because he got up and said "yes" when when was asked to continue. This was *way* below that, it was basically : "I give up"

I don't think anyone thought Ryan was going to win this fight apart from Garcia fans.

Tank has just beaten better opponents and learnt what to do in those fights against the higher level guys. Garcia was doing that classic ego thing of going for big fights before he was ready (e.g. Canelo Vs Mayweather then Canelo would never get a rematch). Shame that he had to get a beating to learn this

I don't think the fight lived up to the hype, I don't think Garcia performed anywhere near as well as he hyped himself. Don't get me wrong, this was a fantastic fight to get signed, sealed and delivered but I was hoping for a bit more of a competitive fight.

Ryan has a way of throwing punches where it seems like he doesn't make a proper commitment to actually land the punches, but merely to sort of range find and potentially, luckily, actually land a flush punch. Khan was similar: blazing fast comobs but thrown in a way where it's as though he had his eyes closed. Terrible accuracy and going by the majority of feedback, a pretty lame stoppage too.

Tank fought well but he didn't really have to, Ryan presented the opportunity to kick his ass to Tank and he just took it. What the hell was all the random aggression in round 2 all about? I'm not here to stick the boot in after a loss; the criticism is warranted. His performance was immature and it's disappointing because it looks lie he could have done better.

G**** to Tank, he looks pretty damn good and potential fights between him/Shakur/winner of Haney/Loma are really interesting and pretty much the pinnacle of the sport, let's get them made!!!

Black and troubled? A lot of young men grow up troubled and still make something of themselves. He chooses to do that thug **** and will be called as such for doing so. He's a man either you choose to be part of the cycle or you break it and become an example of what a man regardless the color of his skin should be. What a dumb f**k you are.

They need to let it go. He wanted the bright lights but is only a part timer. He showed exactly what most thought he was, a hypejob. Porky needs to fight Stevenson or Haney to prove himself, beating Garcia meant nothing. As people like us think so little of him.
