mosley needs to concentrate on the fights he can get at this point like berto & clottey & stop crying already. he had his days in the limelight & even though his win against margo was a great one, i believe margarito carried the effects of his battle with cotto to his fight with mosley. i remember reading how margarito fans were posting how margarito didnt look the same, how supposedly he had problems making weight. thats all bs; he, just like cotto, will never be the same after a war like that. plaster or no plaster thats the type of fight that takes years out of fighters careers & many wonder why mayweather retired for so short. but the truth is hes smart, & even though he wont admitted he wanted those two threatening forces to meet so that his job could be easier once he came back. manny was just a surprising emerging force that suddenly came into the picture once he beat oscar. & lets not forget that if not for cotto losing to margarito, it would have been cotto beating oscar & manny would have never got his chance to emerge as a welterweight threat even less an opponent for either floyd or miguel. but back to mosley; dont get me wrong, he did all the right things that cotto didnt do against margo but cotto also had a hand in softening margo some. so to me the fact that just cause of that win he should be the best P4P in the world is ludicrous. i still have him ranked at#4 under hopkins & one over cotto but not number one, no way. so please mosley stop crying already; boxing is a sports thats about money & popularity & even though i agree that that sux, it is what it is & the truth is that floyd, pacman, cotto & even marquez bring in more ppv buys than u will ever do at this point in ur career. so just take a chill pill, fight berto & clottey & maybe down the line cotto will give u a rematch since i dont think either pacman or floyd will ever fight u. what i personally dont like hearing is a fighter claiming his the best P4P fighter. even if u are, which ur not, thats a title that u let the fans vote for & argue not u.

Floyds a b*tch. First he fights Ricky Hatton because he calls him out on TV after the Castillo fight then he does the same thing with JMM and now that a real welterweight get's in his face on TV he's bitchin out. Man i keep losing a little respect for him everytime he opens his mouth.

The key word in your post is "arguably". I am a fan of Floyd's. I believe he will fight Mosley sometime next year. I believe what Floyd is saying is 'why should I accept his challenge now when he has turned down my challenge twice in the past. I don't owe him anything. I am going to keep my options open. If fighting Mosley is in my best interest, I will fight him.'

He has a point. When Floyd was trying to make a name for himself, he tried to secure fights against all the top fighters -- Mosley, Jose Luis Castille, Kostya Tyszu, Gatti, Cotto, De La Hoya, and Hatton. Among those, Castille was the only one who took his original challenge. Gatti accepted the challenge only because Floyd was his mandatory and he had no choice. Mosley, Hatton, Kostya Tyszu, and De La Hoya all turned him down initially. Also, Arum wouldn't put Cotto in the ring with Mayweather at 140. Now that Floyd is on top, everyone is calling him out and the haters are saying he is ducking them. Its ironic how he didn't duck anyone between 1999-2007. Now, all of a sudden, he is ducking everyone.

You never had any respect for him to begin with and never will, no matter what he does.

i think its more on what is going on in PBF's mind:

fight SSM = 1% chance to be defeated
fight jmm again = 101% chance to win, another win ... LoL

does it make sense when pbf add another win via not legit welter fighter ? Being the greatest welter but cannot answer straight a #1 welter ?

              think again

Completely agree. Shane is on the outside looking in, Manny and Miguel are the ones who deserve to fight him. For starters, Miguel beat Shane, and Manny is ranked #1 P4P. Also, they are both much bigger draws than Shane, who couldn't get on PPV vs. Mayorga or Margarito. Finally, they are younger than Shane, so the "he was old" excuse won't come up if and when Floyd beats them.

Foyd wanted mosley on a date he had in early november. Mosley had just fought vargas at 154 in july and mosley had already fought vargas earlier that year as well. If you look at mosleys record he never fights more that twice in a year. To do what floyd wanted mosley would have to drop from 154 to 147 and fight floyd in a few months for his third fight that year. I dont blame mosley in any way for not taking that fight. If the roles were reversed floyd sure as hell wouldnt. Mosley actually suggested that floyd fight margacheato and he would fight the winner but floyd fought baldo on his date of the 4th nov. Mosley needed more time and thats exactly what he said, yet he constantly gets slated for this.

floyd is not scared of fighting mosley.. they tried to him 2wice when he was younger and fresher..maybe a young mosley would give floyd a better run for the money, but not this version of him..dont be fooled by the destruction of margarito..styles make fights and margarito was the perfect stylistic matchup for shane..that fight made shane look ****loads better than his previous opponents however, at this stage of his career floyd will outbox him for 12 rds pulling out a UD..mosley has had trouble with slick defensive fighters..mayweather will do some of the same things winky wright did to shane when they fought (2wice)..even cotto was able to consistently land the jab and outbox shane at times during the fight..floyd's d/counter punching/punch accuracy and speed would prevail..
