When a fighter believes in their own hype too much sometimes that is their downfall, and that could be the case with benavidez. I just watched the plant/ dirrell fight again and while not know as a power puncher plant was really sitting down on his punches and showed more power not to mention the speed. Until today I was favoring benavidez but man I won’t be surprised if he is underestimating plants power and gets caught. It’s a 50/50 fight that will end in ko.

You got emotional and responded in female like fashion by trying to insult the knowledge of a former hw champion, while you’re a guy who has changed his name 5 times on a boxing site and averages 9k posts a year.

If B gets the impressive KO, he will be in line for Canelo. Don't know if B can beat Canelo, who has great defense and throws only bombs. If Plant pulls off the upset, who knows what is next for both fighters.

Canelo has a lot of pride, and I think it's clouding his judgement. If Benavidez wins tonight, especially by KO, then Canelo should re-consider his "I don't wanna fight Mexicans" stance! Benavidez @ 168 would be a much more lucrative opponent, than fighting Bivol @ 175! You have Mike Tyson and Stephen A. Smith giving Benavidez alot push in the media! The Benavidez fight would be at it's peak! Should Canelo lose to Bivol again, all the hype would be lost!

Man, this has the makings of fight of the year, considering all the ducking so far in other divisions! I favor Benavidez to win but if Plant upsets him, this kid will probably face huge backlash for all the talk. He's hungry and powerful young man but he still doesn't know that humble pie is served cold! However, if he delivers and KOs Caleb - he's gonna become the new star.
