Did you ever consider that Floyd will simply do anything other than fight Shane, as he knows shane is a very real threat? I actually belive he's afraid of shane.

Mayweather gets accused of ducking a lot of guys, but I try to be as unbiased as I can. Mayweather's fans are using the Pacquiao-Cotto winner as an excuse of why he shouldn't fight Mosley, and that's fair play. But when did either of those guys express interest in fighting Floyd? I think that Cotto ducked Floyd more than the other way around throughout these years. Sure, Mayweather said some things like Cotto needs to become his own boss and he told Merchant that he would retire from boxing and not let boxing retire him. But after Cotto sc****d by Shane in a close fight, Arum said that he didn't want Cotto to fight Mayweather because he didn't want to deal with businessmen. And Cotto took a fight with Alfonzo Gomez and then got beat into submission by a guy he was favored to win against. That's a far cry from what Shane just did by KOing Margarito and getting up into Floyd's face and telling him that they need to fight for the fans. And then we have Arum saying that a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight will take time.

So to sum it up, Cotto and Pacquiao are leary of fighting Mayweather, and Mosley wants to get at Floyd bad, and Mayweather is scared of him. So I don't accuse Floyd of ducking every guy out there. The fact that Mosley will be easy to deal with in negotiations is why the fight has to happen. Mayweather has got no place else to go.

I mean you have to be honest besides the Cotto Pac winner there is no one else to fight besides Shane.
I still think it might happen, you never know.
I don't think he is scared of him. I actually think Floyd would beat Shane. Shane isn't superman, people are acting like he's the most dangerous **** in boxing. But he shoulda worried about getting another fight instead of just waiting around for Pac, Mayweather and whoever. Why not pursue a Cotto rematch. Berto...Clottey...whatever.

Floyd doesn't pay my bills at all. Cotto isn't the same fighter and a fight between him and Cotto should've happen in 2008 after he beat Hatton. But now he is trying to get his confidence back. I don't even believe Pac can even compete with Floyd. That's a mismatch waiting to happen. Shane is coming of an dominate victory and Floyd coming off a sparring session. Roger Mayweather has said that Shane is the only fighter that can compete with Floyd skill for skill. But his hardcore fans act like it will be so easy. Let the **** happen and let's see if it would be an easy victory for Floyd

I'm glad someone brought Roger's interview up. He even said it. This will be the best fight that can happen. Even though I believe PBF will win. We have to see this I think Jan will be the perfect opportunity for this to happen. (Coming off of all this hype) I don't understand the wait. Floyd should fight Shane in Jan. and then the winner of the Cotto/Pac in June. That fight would take a while to negotiate anyway. This is really a no brainer. There wouldn't be anyone else to fight other than 2 outh of those 3. Noone is going to fight Paul Williams. (he should stay in the Middleweight division anyway)

Yeah but he's to chicken **** to fight him so anything you say is only a guess.

None of you put stock in floyd unless he says something that suggest hes going to duck him?

Pretty much oscar is pushing for it, if oscar is pushing that means hes willing put money up to do it, i just think mayweather is mum on the situation until all parties sit down.

We don't know if he is or isn't fighting shane... give the man some rest and time to not focus on boxing.. he prepared for over 6 months for his fight last week... a fighter in his position would have no intentions to negotiate a fighter just days after a bout... he will probably wait for cotto/pacquaio to finish.. since he knows that is the biggest fight for him... just give it time.... it's too soon to suspect mayweather dodging mosley.

No one is going to care about Floyd after he retires, the boxing world will move on. Boxing is his career, so he should try and make as much money as he can while doing it. Anyone with a career understands this. It's just jealousy of his 0.
That is all fine and dandy, you want to make money business sense, I could respect that. Just do not go around saying you're the best and you fight the best, because you are not and you did not. It makes him look foolish and cowardly when he says "I am the best P4P", but you do not fight the P4P that people consider the best. Floyd is a great fighter, he has the skills to beat probably all the P4P out there, but he is afraid to fight them because maybe the truth will come out. I think he is stucked on that best P4P **** and can not let go. He has to realize that other boxers are in the game now that might give him a run for his money.
