I just don't understand some posters on here. I'm a huge fan of Floyd and Shane. But more importantly I'm a fan of the sport. I always want to see the best fight the best. Floyd doesn't pay my bills at all. Cotto isn't the same fighter and a fight between him and Cotto should've happen in 2008 after he beat Hatton. But now he is trying to get his confidence back. I don't even believe Pac can even compete with Floyd. That's a mismatch waiting to happen. Shane is coming of an dominate victory and Floyd coming off a sparring session. Roger Mayweather has said that Shane is the only fighter that can compete with Floyd skill for skill. But his hardcore fans act like it will be so easy. Let the **** happen and let's see if it would be an easy victory for Floyd

I bought Mayweather/Marquez but I won't buy another Mayweather PPV unless he fights Shane/winner of Pac/Cotto or Paul Williams. I hope Boxing fans do the same, **** paying for him against Berto or Bradley.

Cherry Picking is not wanting to fight the winner of Cotto v Pac...that would actually be a great fight and one that the fans could appreciate. Cherry picking is what Floyd just did and has been doing since moving up from lightweight. This is where all his criticism begins and until he faces a worthy opponent at welterweight the criticism will not end.

The thing with Mosley is that he called him out infront of the world and Floyd has been saying that he only fights guys that call him out (as of his last 2 fights.) Adding to the fact that Floyd looked shook when comfronted by Mosley and was stuttering his ass off...yeah that makes that call out by Mosley look as if he punked Floyd's ass on Global television. Why would you not want to face Mosley then take on the winner of Cotto v Pac for the overall champ of WW?

I can understand him.
If he agreed to fight Mosley he'd make 400k PPV and he would lose all bargaining powers when considering the fight with Cotto/Pac winner.

Don't be mad guys if he won Shane Mosley youy would probably say that winning a steroid punk who is over the hill has nothing to do with greatness.

When you train like he does for every fight offcourse he wants to make sure that he gets best out of it. Plus, he will make a lot more money fighting Mosley after another mega fight.

Meanwhile Mosley himself is not a smart man. Instead of finally becoming a villain and doing something crazy like slapping Flloyd and thus building a frame for their fight Shane is being a great guy he allways was. Imagine that 24/7 series, Shane talks about his broken marriage, Shane is eating a turkey , shane is playing basketball...
Who will buy this fight ????

Floyd knows there isn't much left in his own persona especially now when he is trying to be a nice guy, people won't buy it. Ideally it would be Shane's turn to be a bad guy, but since he isn't, should not blame floyd.
