But can he PERFORM? A lot of this is mental, not just physical.
I know a lot is mental. I agree you don't have to tell me that. The Lacy argument is weak. Cuz Lacy was never the same after a beatdown. The first fight with Tarver was not a beatdown. It was evenly fought by both men. That RJ actually won. He was never beatdown like Lacy. In the rematch, in the first round it didn't seem like there anything wrong with RJ mentally. He did good that round. In the 2nd he got caught. I don't believe the weight as an excuse for the rematch. And, I don't think there was anything wrong with him in the rematch mentally either. One punch landed maybe it was a lucky punch?
If him and you want the mental excuse for the Johnson KO. I agree and I think is a valid excuse. IF you guys want to have the mental excuse for the third fight with Tarver. Again I agree. I think is a valid excuse in those circumctances. But, for that 2nd fight. IMO all those excuses were not valid. I just think he just got caught. A perfect punch landed, in the perfect time, on the perfect spot.

Not sure exactly why but I'm kind of excited about this fight should it actually happen. I think Hopkins could stop Roy if he fights as aggressively as he did against Pavlik. Not sure I'm willing to shell out 50 bones for it though.....Better have a really good undercard.
