He has not “regressed”. It’s easy for a powerful guy to knock out “mediocre” opposition. He stepped up and realized that getting in there with guys who can’t fight is DIFFERENT than guys who can fight. Thats all it is.
Look at pre-Broner vs Broner who fought well known, “ELITE”, fighters. Berlanga hasn’t even fought elite fighters yet. Neither has Tank.

I don't understand when people talk about Berlanga being "the hottest free agent". He's a flawed fringe contender and anyone who promotes him from this point will be taking him on as a project to carefully improve or wisely cash out.

It's called "prize-fighting" for a reason. If he is ready to cash out then this is the path to take. He has hype as far as PR fighters go right now and he has a record that would look good for a promotor.

On the other hand if greatness is his goal he needs to slow his roll. He's been looking really average these last few fights and I think he's ready to cash out.

Probably true, but that is when the prospect needs to re-set to get ready for those harder challenges ahead. However, I'm not convinced Berlanga has re-set or even that he can re-set.

He can sign with pbc, and fight Morrell Jr. That could be a good fight.

Maybe if you want him to end up like the last guy Morrell fought.

People were curios when he amassed his KO streak but once he has looked ordinary against better opposition most lost interest. He is delusional, first guy that he faces that is an established fighter will beat him.
