Surely this is grounds for DISQUALIFICATION or at the least points deduction and recovery time for Yarde. Beterbiev is prone to doing this. Watch his fight versus Smith. It’s dirty fighting to do so. I think this is more of Yarde doing better than expected and then getting credit for any round where he tagged Beterbiev at all. Yarde made him retreat a few times but never had any sustained offense because Beterbiev would then respond promptly each time and respond hard... to Yarde's detriment. The Brit lacks a refined, efficient jab to set things up. He also suffers from poor stamina and just never seems to get a 2nd wind. Beterbiev knew this and paced his pressure accordingly. The champ at 38 is an experienced fighter and nothing will surprise him. Some styles will require bigger adjustments but Yarde's "muscle" approach is never going to be one of them.
