In the article: Beterbiev then hit Yarde on the back of his head, which sent him to his gloves. Wait what? Surely this is grounds for DISQUALIFICATION or at the least points deduction and recovery time for Yarde. Beterbiev is prone to doing this. Watch his fight versus Smith. It’s dirty fighting to do so. I have lost respect for the man. He will never win against Bivol who will be too slick, too smart, and has too much ring IQ. Bivol to win a UD against Berbetiev

Yarde has a chronic stamina problem. He was exhausted and throwing arm punches, that's Beterbiev went in for the finish.

Yarde was staying competitive but he was getting the worst of it in almost every round. There's no way that he was up on the cards. Beterbiev was hitting him with most of the punches he threw. Yarde was off balance, hurt, tired and missing most of his punches but he was hanging in there. The problem is that Yarde took so much punishment over the rounds that eventually he couldn't stand up to the onslaught and he folded.Gamboal00 likes this.

The broadcast of the fight on the British Sky Sports turned into more of an embarrassing sh°t show as each round passed.
Aside from being absurdly partisan and biased (which is a hallmark at this point), you had emotional hyperbole running the show, talk of this as one of the greatest fights ever (???), commentators losing professionalism as they got carried away fumbling their delivery and of course the ridiculous repetition that this was a close fight and one saying Yarde was ahead.
And to top it all off, Steve Bunce (whom I like) started calling Beterbiev 'Bivol' after the fight!
Imagine having Yarde ahead on the scorecards. Reverse the roles, and switch it around so it was Beterbiev that was eating a stiff hard jab all night, and was eating clean shots and holding on in the corner in 3 different occasions as he was pummelled. The Brit team would score the fight 7-0 to Yarde at that point.
