Mayweather had just came off a two year lay-off, Marquez was a tune-up fight. Mayweather/Mosely will happen next year when Shane calms down. Floyd is going to make his wait.

Floyd is not the greatest and can be beat as soon as he gets the balls to fight someone who has a chance to beat him. He needs to fight mosley and cease with all the BS as soon as he was questioned about fighting mosley he starts stuttering and gets defensive and claims he is being disrespected another excuse and way he will use to to get out of fighting mosley, like he did with margarito, he needs to stop fighting all these winnable fights against opponents he knows he will beat and fight some real threats something that he has never done.

I think mosley has the skill, power, and ability to ko him in dramatic fashion, williams also has all the tools to beat him. If he ever wants to be considered the greatest of his era he will have to fight the mosley's, williams, and cotto's, he will never be considered the greatest of his era much less the greatest of all time which is laughable in my opinion, if he doesn't fight and beat these guys period, stop ducking, stop making excuses, stop acting like what you are and that is afraid to fight these guys, and start fighting period or you will never be viewed as the greatest of your era it's as simple as that.

He can't even be considered great at this point because he has never fought anyone of any real significance or anyone that can be considered a real threat he avoids those challenges like the ebola virus, the biggest name on his ledger was an old delahoya who gave him hell, he needs to fight all the real threats and beat them or he can never be considerd great or the greatest of his era and certainly not that ridiculous claim of being the greatest of all time, only a very good fighter at this point until he proves otherwise.

Hold up, to make sure Im correct in my post, let me print the facts.....

"Sugar Shane started his pro career in 1993, By 2000 he had fought 38 fights to a 38–0 (36KOs) record, beating undefeated Phillip Holiday to win the IBF lightweight title. He made 9 title defenses and moved up 2 divisions to face Oscar De La Hoya for his welterweight title.

Didnt Marquez try to do the same thing? And if Im not mistaken, so did
Pacquiao? So what makes Floyd so wrong for fighting a Lightweight moving
up in Marquez? Wasnt like other Lightweights didnt have success before
RIGHT?! Its ridiculous the double standards on here.
Mosley had BALCO... Marquez had piss, see the differnce??

When Shane Mosley beat Antonio Margarito, he said he wanted
to fight Floyd right? Floyd was retired at the time. Mosley goes
to a man that made around 50MIL in two fights and offered Floyd
8MIL? How serious was Shane? THEN! he chases after Pac saying,
"I want Pacquiao first then Mayweather" AND "All I want is big money
fights" WHILE he avoided Williams/Clottey and disregarded Berto?
Mosley is a wannabe Pac/Floyd. He thinks that he is the man on
the A side but he is NOT and thats what has hurt him in his career.
PLUS he was doped up when he beat Oscar in the rematch? People
have a lot of nerve bashing a guy like Floyd but Cosigning cheaters
like Mosley and Margarito, saying that Floyd is scared of them?
to me thats ironic that people would back a cheater just to make
a boxer/fighter they dont like look bad?

I enjoy watching Mosley fight but his constant ranting and raving
about people ducking him is nonsense. WE all know that Floyd
wanted it years ago and it didnt suit Mosley "Wasnt enough Money"
And now Floyd feels the same way about Mosley now that he is on
top so what is the fuss about? If people are going to say that Floyd
is scared of Mosley then first they would have to say that Shane was
scared of Floyd when he had to go on vacation and get his tooth fixed.
I remember after one of Mosley fights Shane was getting interviewed
and Floyd walked right up to him on camera and gave him a pound like
"What up Shane" Floyd was desperate to land a fight with him.
I dont think a lot of you on here know exactly what has been
going on in the sport and just speak on emotional views. There
is always two sides to a coin.

Floyd is going to school Mosley. I dont see Mosley as having
the best foot work or stamina to trap and contain Floyd speed
and movement. Margarito was right there and NEVER had any
real skill anyways...... Foyd is in a different league. I agree
                Mosley loses by UD.

Ray Leonard fought Marvin Hagler at middleweight,

                  after a 3 year layoff.

Fighting a lightweight at welterweight is the best fight for the self proclaimed best fighter ever?

Forrest had more skill than Mayorga,

                    yet lost to him twice.

Judah had more skill than Baldomir

                    but lost to him.

Superior skill set isn't always the determining factor.

fight with Hatton. Both were potential opponents for Floyd

and what does 140 have to do with 147?
