100% true. I called it on DAZN being a disaster too, overpaying a lot of these guys, look what happened with GGG, he got a 10 million minimum to fight complete bums, they never thought to have some type of control of picking his opponents when they offered him such money? now DAZN jacked their prices up to try to recover from all the money they lost on that, I cancelled DAZN after they went to PPV model.

It's how Errol banks every time. Low guarantee + PPV %. Hasnt been a problem until now. It's also important to state that neither of them were getting a purse guarantee for this fight, so what's the problem?[/QUOTE]

The problem is twofold - first, as I understand it, Crawford wasnt going to get ANY guarantee. Second, Spence is the promoter's fighter, he know's he going to get paid - wither from the real figures or an under-the-table deal. Crawford knows that the costs can be inflated so that there's no profit or at least much less profit. So, as I understand it, to avoid that happening, he wanted transparency on the costs and PBC weren't willing to provide it.

And then, wasn't it the case that Spence was still at 200lbs plus in October? If the fight stood a realistic chance of being put together don't you think he'd have been losing weight since the summer? Or could it be that Haymon told him, lets just wait until Crawford is a bit older to swing the odds in our favour. We'll negotiate but we'll negotiate so we don't fight.

Just trying to join the dots.
Lmfao…name me a single time that Spence hasn’t come into a fight ripped to the gills? In fact the man comes in with a 12 pack across his abs. Just face it, this is a business and not a charity. Both were given the exact same deal. If I were Spence’s team knowing I sell out stadiums in Texas I would give Crawfraud 30% TOPS. Crawford can’t draw a break even point in any of his PPVs. Bob was telling the truth when he said he was losing money on Crawfraud. It took a fly by night startup to overpay him which I still believe they will default on. We haven’t seen ANY reputable promoter scoop him up since riding solo. Why? Because his entire career has been putting the lights out on trash cans and he hasn’t been able to draw flies to s h I t outside of Nebraska.

Crawford says back to negotiations with Spence after Avanesyan. Spence says he will spin the block and come back to Crawford. Their teams are saying the fight will happen next year. Same thing with Davis vs Garcia. Haymon is doing his best to block these fights, pushing it back is just the best he can do without completely exposing himself.
Due to your inability to view anything remotely involving PBC/Haymon with even a sliver of objectivity, your opinion means less than nothing.

If anyone here claims they know what the real negotiations were, they’re lying……

Why, because Erroll "The Truth" himself mentioned the personal sacrifice of not being able to eat properly just to maintain the weight is no fun at all. You could easily see this when drained fighters after weighing on the scales immediately grab a bottle of water.

The Truth wants this fight over with so he can move on with the next chapter.
Extremely hard for a fighter who wants to move up to delay this fight.

Dud Crawford did everything he could.

He had no choice but to end up fighting Avanesyan, they twisted his arm. There was no one better that he could have chosen.

                Terrence 'Business of Boxing" Crawford.

                I preferred his previous nickname.

Or a fighter who has been so ardent in his decision to not fight a certain fighter, surprisingly get his people to petition on his behalf to face said guy next.

Fact of the matter is Spence has little control over his career.

This, that guys just looking for the typical anti Haymon ammo. This fight didn’t get made because of Bud and Bud alone. Bud thinks he is entitled to millions of dollars for nothing, that’s the problem
