Good performance by Morrell. Not great, because I feel he had the tools to do more offensively. He also needs to drop the showboating and complaining to the referee.

Aidos was as advertised, a decent and rugged fighter who comes to fight. He was simply outclassed here. I was feeling bad for him in the last round watching him blink repeatedly. I hope he's okay.

He’s the “regular” WBA champ, so Canelo will have to fight him eventually or get stripped of that strap. But I agree, not many will want to fight him.

As good as Morrel is, I'm just not sure he is ready for Benevidez. But let's see how he handles Plant first.

Didn't like how that wasn't stopped before, the celebrations or the fact that nobody seemed in a rush to check on the guy. Where the **** was the ringside physician?

I have the utmost respect for Ronnie Shields, for his careers and the way he conducts himself, but he may be holding Morrell back and make him fight too cautiously, like he did with Jermall. I feel Morrell should have done more and stop Aidos earlier. He can box too, but a more offensive minded trainer may be better suited for him.

The next ranking fighters for the WBA mandatories are John Ryder and Rocky Fielding, both are easy work for Morrell. Would be nice to see him beat the breaks off Jermall Charlo or fight Billy Joe Saunders to make a statement.

I actually didn’t mind him boxing the way he did
He was fighting the Kazakh with power and still finally got the ko ( although this could of been stopped much earlier imo )
The Patience he showed tonight was a sign of maturity and honestly I can’t see Morrell himself not being offensive
It’s practically his style
