In reality its the worst possible match up for Canelo which is why he will never fight him. If he was such a great style match up Canelo would have fought him already because it would be a great scalp for his legacy to take out such a highly rated and talented opponent. David would be one of the best wins on his record, a prime monster, with speed and power. What better wins does he have? Old man Kovalev and GGG?
If Canelo would have fought and beaten no-name, no belt Benavidez last year instead of fighting one of the SMW champions you would have been on here saying he took advantage of an inexperienced, no resume kid with manboobs. You would have then declared that he shamelessly ducked Smith, Saunders or Plant to fight that no name cherry pick. Canelo will fight and beat Benavidez next year and you will have some reason to discredit him anyway.

      Nelo haters certainly don't care.

The hands of time work in mysterious ways and one bad fight under the lights can take years off of a fighter. If Benavidez really thinks he can beat the top dogs at lhw (said he's moving up), he's in for a rude awakening. Clenelo is in a position now where his fans lap up his layups and he can do layups for 2 years. Meanwhile, who knows what the future holds for an ambitious Benavidez.

By the way Charlo versus Canelo would've bee a good fight, but I actually think that Canelo could beat Charlo.
Albeit with some more wear and tear to his body which is already showing sign's of slowing down, and more susceptible to cut's.
Now Benavidez has the engine to put some real mileage on Canelo's barometer, and really beat him to the finish line.
I just get the feeling that Canelo would rather vacate the WBC title, than to fight Benavidez! Anyway, WBC needs to do their job, and order the damn fight!

If Canelo vacates the WBC title, in order to avoid fighting Benavidez he'll be hounded/persecuted by many in the boxing community.
It would be an unforgivable act on Canelo's part, and what makes that even worse is that he's nearing the end of his career.
While he's been trying to end his outstanding career with a ****, losing to Bivol, and avoiding Benavidez will end it with the effect of a dud.
If this hold's to be true then he'll hear the new dreaded question "WHY DIDN'T YOU FIGHT BENAVIDEZ" ? or worse "WHY DID YOU DUCK BENAVIDEZ" ?
He should completely forget about the 175 pound division, and a rematch with Bivol, which will only lead to second humiliating loss for him.
Concentrate on the 168 pound division, looking towards the heavier weight's at 175, Cruiser, or Heavyweight which would bring an unceremonious end to your boxing career.
So fight Benavidez, and Bivol if you really have a need to scratch that itch, but stay away from Beterbiev, Usyk, and rest of the big boy's, your just not one of them!

Jermall Charlo has seen enough of what Benavidez bring's to the ring to want nothing to do with him.
I believe that Canelo has seen the same dangerous skill set's that Benavidez has put on display against his opponent's, and he doesn't want nothing to do with him.
Caleb Plant may take the Benavidez challenge especially coming off of his spectacular one punch knockout against Anthony Dirrell.
That would actually be a competitive fight until one of them got into their groove then it would be down hill for the other, and I think that it would be Plant going down hill.
Which ever way you cut it, if Benavidez continues to win, and calling out Canelo, Saul won't be able to avoid him for much longer.
Continues to win against whom exactly? The bums he keeps fighting? When is his next fight and against who? A Plant and Dirrell leftover? Oh but the "CaNeLo DoEsN't WaNt To FiGhT HiM", yeah that argument is getting old and tiresome. Say Canelo is off until next September, then what? What is Benavidez going to do for another year? I'll tell you what he's going to do, he's going to continue with his lackluster career by continuing to fight bums and have keyboard warriors like you defend that sh.it and cry about Canelo.

              So carry on.

I agree, but his ego won't let him forget! Ironically, Bivol gives him the excuse not to dace Benavidez! i just hope he doesn't hold 168 hostage, while he's trying to avenge his loss at 175!

Calm down benvidez, nobody is saying you can't beat nel o as you only beat 1 champ, that's not the case. It's just nel o won't get credit for beating you, as you only beat 1 champ.

If Canelo fights Benavidez and beats him, that would be his best win.

From out of his own mouth he's not fighting until May, or September of 2023 whether you realize it or not Canelo came out of that GGG looking just as worn out as GGG. It's really starting to look like he's pushed himself so far, that he doesn't have to much left in his tank as far as future fight's are concerned.
