I would like to see this fight. JMM looked a bit fleshy at WW but i think he'd be lean and strong at JWW. He'd kayo hatton - It'd be like watching JMM v against an unskilled glass chinned pac man.

It may hurt him to take off what he gained though. But I agree with you about him going back down period. I'd love to see a Soto-JMM fight at 135. I think Hatton would get his ass kicked by JMM though. Pointless fight regardless.

Really good fight on paper. Hatton just got caught cold by a hell of a shot. Don't act like he's just shot or something. He was putting leather on Manny and actually hurt him once. He was the first and only to tko Malignaggi and he pretty much outboxed him the whole fight, so don't act like he can't box either. I know it's obvious that the triangle theory doesn't work in boxing but it was obvious Hatton had twice the success with Floyd that Marquez did, even with Cortez working over time. He also ran into a shot and lost, may have a deteriorated punch resistance and all but that doesn't mean he's washed up. Give Hatton a chance to come back and we will judge him based on what he shows when doing so rather than write him off because he got had by the P4P #1 in Manny Pacquiao in two rounds.

Everyone has their counter-style. Manny was Hatton's and Marquez is Manny's. We will see how Hatton and Marquez mesh now. I personally hope it happens, but one thing I can gaurantee is that it won't happen next or anytime soon.

Its more the weight I am concerned about. He looked blown up bigtime against Floyd. As fighters get older moving around in weight so much can have a significant impact. Also, JMM has been in plenty of really tough fights. I just hope he has enough left to get a win over Hatton before he is done, he deserves it.

a shot casa as well as baby bull gave JMM a lot of problems at lightweight.....both were slightly ahead of JMM on the scorecards when the KO came.....

i believe Hatton would KO JMM at Jr. WW......

Like it wouldn't be the last big money fight out there for Hatton besides Khan. Difference is when he gets KOed by JMM there will be no shame, whereas if he gets beat by Khan then.....well that would suck.

I don't understand why JMM is calling out Hatton, because he can get almost as much money by fighting Khan. Hell, I think Morales is more likely to fight again than Hatton is. I know that JMM and Morales have said they wanted to fight each other. I'd rather see that fight over a Hatton-JMM fight, even though I don't really want to see either.
