Canelo Looks Shook? At the Press Conference, Canelo's Energy is Off, Golovkin is Relaxed ... ?

    Start watching at 1:03:00

Is it just me or does Canelo look glassy-eyed and nervous? He seems very tense, as if he's carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Meanwhile, Golovkin looks like he's about to attend an evening dinner. He almost looks a little smug, as if he knows something that we don't know ... am I seeing this correctly? Thoughts? (Because right now, it appears to me that Golovkin is winning the mental battle for this fight, with himself, while Canelo is losing the mental battle with himself.)

I noticed the same thing. People forget the amount of punishment Nelo took in their two fights. G’s also the bigger man at 168 while Canelo’s best weight was 152-160. I’m looking forward to this fight.

Me too. Although I think Canelo is actually the bigger guy now, which might be one reason he's looking off. Cutting that muscle and water weight probably has him feeling like ****. He started hitting the sauna as soon as he arrived in Vegas. That's not a good sign to me. But also even though Golovkin is taller, Canelo is wider. He's got the bigger frame. So to me they are about the same size. (Incidentally, HBO did a wrist measurement and Canelo as the wrist size of a light heavyweight. I think it's why he's able to move up in weight so much. The other guy who had a large frame for his height was Pacquiao, and we saw how many weight classes he jumped.)

Alvarez has been beaten twice now, and they were not close fights 'He was dominated skill for skill in both fights'.

Golovkin has never really experienced such a loss. And he has been unbeaten since his 1 loss to Alvarez, which? Personally Golovkin probably thinks he won.

Golovkin has probably had a steady and enjoyable training camp. The 168 pound limit has probably gave him a slight boast.

Alvarez is under big pressure in this fight, and coming back down again to 168 pounds 'May have been difficult'.

If people think this is walk in the park for canelo they are sadly mistaken. Canelo imo can't get up for the big fights anymore he's too rich while ggg even at 40 is still hungry.

Saul looks ****** in imo. I thought 160/168 was his "natural weight"? Weight cut not going well?

They always said Floyd looked “shook” and “scared” also.

Im not comparing Canelo to Floyd but it’s wishful thinking.

I have to agree in this case. I think he is just ready to fight. I see him showing a healthy respect to GGG. You saw this in the last couple of face offs. No more mean mugging…they both nodded at each other and turned away. That’s a sign that they are in warrior mode. No more talking and flexing…just fighting.

I have Canelo by UD with the possibility of scoring a KD. Too young, too motivated, and too gawd damn strong.

GGG couldn’t hurt Canelo 4yrs ago at a lower weightclass…he’s not going to now.
