Not only didn't any of these fighters ever uttered those now infamous words that I won't fight another Mexican fighter, but they fought other Mexican fighters with every once of energy that they could muster within them.

I do remember reading about him assaulting Ulises Solis the 5'3' 108 pound IBF champion in Guadalajara, Mexico on 10/25/2011.
Saul Alvarez 5'8' 154 pounds assaulted Solis braking his jaw, and a few teeth, over a women that was Alvarez's former girlfriend.
Solis had to have two surgeries to repair his jaw, was stripped of his title failing to defend it, even though he was recovering from a serious injury.
