What will be interesting now is who gets the commentary position.

Guess it'll be Sky as it's 'UK' timezone, but then there's the whole Eddie Hearn conflict and DAZN will likely be interviewing him and Sky won't.

    Very messy!

The more I think about it, the more it was probably an awful decision for Sky to take this fight on. They gonna be working against it even getting interviews or simple things like 'The gloves are off' face off which is normally their biggest promotional tool for a PPV. They doing this?

I would not be surprised to see DAZN doing one, but not Sky

People in America barely know this fight is happening next week. This is why I always bash hearn. He calls it the biggest rematch in HW history but no one outside the UK knows when it’s happening. The lack of promotion is astounding he must think this is the last ride with AJ and decided to save money. Tbh tho the lack of promotion for DAZN in general is shocking

Anybody have any idea what time the actual main event might be starting? I have some obligations that I have to handle Saturday and I'm trying to shift some things around to make myself available for the main event....

Article says 12:00pm EST... On the big U.S. cards main event ring walks are normally maybe 2 & a half hours or so after the start of the broadcast, but this promotion has been such a mess that I don't even know what to think...... Anybody got any hint at all what time AJ & Usyk might be hitting the ring?

Unfortunately this is no mega fight and wouldn't be PPV in the US regardlessly. Ain't no one tuning in at 9am in the US watch this fight let alone would have paid for it.

I think the deal with the Saudis may have complicated things and delayed promotion. There were reports earlier that it would be on DAZN (for non-UK) but nothing was made official until just recently.

The promotion you're talking about is for TV... and the Saudis had the TV rights.

DAZN literally got the rights a few hours ago.

As for Sky, why would Hearn promote them?

Not saying it’s on a level with Tank/Rolly. That would be crazy talk

seriously man, this is more ppv worthy than 90% of the tripe being served up as ppv

The UK tabloids were reporting 3pm 6pm depending on coast for the actual fight, late UK. The usual ldbc racist trolls on here will hate that but basically they just hate boxing.

The main reason DAZN gave Hearn a billion is because he promoted AJ. If AJ loses this fight and retires DAZN will never have had the rights to a AJ fight for the UK.
