Comments Thread For: DAZN Confirms US Distribution Rights For Usyk-Joshua Rematch

There is finally an answer to the weeks-long question of how U.S. boxing fans can watch the Oleksandr Usyk-Anthony Joshua rematch. DAZN confirmed stateside distribution rights, announcing Sunday that a deal was officially reached to carry the anticipated unified heavyweight title fight. The sports streaming platform was the frontrunner to land the event but was forced to sit on the news until all lingering matters were resolved which finally came this weekend.

Not sure what took so long for this to confirm. This whole Saudi deal was a bit of a mess.

This will annoy a lot of posters I know they like to purchase over priced PPVs that don’t actually belong on PPV ,now we have this mega fight on a subscription based platform that apparently no one watches ?

DAZN has been doing specials leading up to this fight on the app . They have some of the best inside the fight high quality in depth coverage about each fighter . The lack of promotion outside that is on Sky Sports they won the rights to the fight and they are basically U.K based . It’s apparent when Hearn isn’t the promoter events lack in that area all the time .

I’m guessing the Saudis over valued the interest in this fight outside UK and were holding out for a better deal and DAZN wore them down in the end.
