How Competitive Is Boots-Stanionis

Stanionis' last fight with Buatsi was a brutal one. It's like 2 punching bags going at it. Neither one wanted to show respect and couldn't wait to land his next shot, thus the almost total lack of defense. Absolute no no with a fighter like Ennis.
So I don't know how this fight could be competitive based on such fight. It was a SD win, which could have gone either way.
Staninionis needs a lot of adjustments if he wants to stay longer than 5 rounds in the Boots fight. Or avoid the fight entirely and go for Crowley.Last edited by jqSide; 08-11-2022, 08:06 PM.

Let Ennis first fight at least Butaev level of fighter then talk about bums..
Stanionis is actually not slow, maybe even faster than Boots.
And for the record - Stanionis himself told on the different Lithuanian podcasts that his team tried to get a fight with Boots TWICE, but they did not received any feedback from Boots team. Stanionis wanted fight Boots before he fought Deloch and after the Deloch fight.
Now, when Stanionis have the regular belt Boots screaming " dont duck me", so its kind of funny to me.
Stan is in better possition rn, cause his team made better job picking fights for him, that why he have regular belt and shot at Spence.
If I was him I will try to fight Spence first, if no Spence than Thurman and then Vergil. Stan and Boots would be bigger fight when they both have belts.
For now I think best fight for Boots would be Butaev so we can see how he looks vs strong strong welterweight.BaguMka likes this.

Like Stanionis but IMO Boots is on a different level, the Lithuanian is tough as hell and might go the distance but he won't land much and will be getting hit a lot I think. This is just my eye test though, ain't gonna be trying to back it up with a resume breakdown or anything... although probably I'd consider Stanionis to be not entirely dissimilar to Lipinets though maybe a little better, certainly stronger and a little sharper.. Probably worth considering their performances against the common opponent in Dulorme too.The Big Dunn likes this.
