In what universe is Crawford ahead of Usyk as P4P number 1?

Crawford’s skills are amazing. Usyks skills are amazing.
Crawford’s resume is very poor. Usyk’s resume is very good.

you can’t be p4p number one without having great opposition.

Breidis, Gassiev and Joshua were all prime quality opponents and beaten in their own back yards.

Who has Crawford beaten at the age of almost 35?

I know man. I've had this argument with people all the time and point out the differences. It's not a knock on Crawford, but he can't be ranked over Usyk right now. You can't do it.

I can’t see any argument to have Crawford ahead of Usyk.

Crawford has unified 2 divisions, literally clearing both out. He has a title in a 3rd division.

Usyk cleaned out Cruiser and now has a win over AJ and is now Hwt champ.

I think you can make a legitimate case for both.

Don’t be a victim of recency bias. When Crawford unified, he did exactly what Usyk did, beat the other top guys in both divisions in dominant fashion.

If you have Usyk ahead, fine. No argument or issue.

Just don’t do it by unfairly deflating guys Crawford beat.

He went to Scotland and beat Burns. Postol and Indongo are the Gassiev and Breidis equivalents at the time. Gamboa was undefeated. Porter was a solid win.

Crawford’s unification was the worst we’ve ever seen probably. Here’s his unification

Dulorme- won vacant belt against this very mediocre fighter
Postol- that’s a good win. He was on a tear after breaking Matthysse’s orbital.
Indongo- shouldn’t have been anywhere near the ring. One of the worst titlist’s in recent times let’s be honest.

All of the above fights in America.

                Usyk’s Cruiser run:

ripped through the Super series tournament against Huck, Breidis and Gassiev. 2 of these guys are straight killers. Gassiev prob the guy most likely to kill your ass along with Beiterbiev, and Usyk won every round (almost got his head taken off in first rough tbf)

then he unifies heavyweight against Joshua. Vast majority thought he was gonna get wrecked but he whooped AJ.

                their runs just don’t compare.

Again, don’t deflate the guys Crawford beat. Context matters.

You left off Burns in Scotland and Gamboa. I wasn’t even counting Dullorme lol. He’s unified 2 divisions dude that has to count for something.

He didn’t unify hwt yet. I didn’t think he’d lose to AJ. I picked Usyk.

If you favor Usyk fine. Just don’t do it this way.

Crawford earned his spot. If you’re using his inactivity ok. His ww resume is not great other than Porter. Fair criticism.

Just don’t forget all Crawford did when Usyk wasn’t in the Super Series is all I’m asking.

I mean officially Usyk is #1 is almost every major list.
