Why call out Makabu ( we know why he didn’t go this route , WBC asked him to fight Benevidez after )
Now fighting Bivol ( who’s a tough fight ) but no mention of Beterbiev although weakest link

I saw today on another boxing site that he was asked about Beterbiev. He replied, “why not”. Something about this December. It will happen. Why? Cause he’s easy work. Too old now. Like everyone says here. “Cherry picking”. I don’t watch the cruisers but to me they would be too slow for him. Might be able to win some titles there too. As long as he AVOIDS SPEED.
Kinda like how RJJ went up to heavy weight. It was easy cause their so slow. Tyson was another very small guy who EXPLOITED much bigger boxers lack of speed.

he's had more than 2 years to fight beterbiev and hes made up excuses nonstop even saying hes not a 175 pounder...yet is fihting bivol and was supposed to fight at cruiser. if he does fight beterbiev its because he gets a gift or looks like hes almost finished. we already saw him do the same thing with ggg saying hes not a 160 pounder then fighting at super middle..etc...canelo is just unable to take a risk, legally hes not even allowed to.

He will fight him and beat him EASILY. Why? Cause u don’t know sheeit about boxing. Beterbiev is too OLD now.

Beterbiev has the best shot of beating Canelo of anyone from 160-175. To beat this version of Canelo you need to be able to push him backwards as he’s far less effective off the back foot. If you look at guys who’ve had success against Canelo in recent years such as GGG, Jacobs etc they all pushed him backwards at times during the bout.

Trying to outbox him on the back foot doesn’t work anymore, Canelo’s pressure game is far too good. He’s a complete fighter now, he’ll cut off the ring, get inside and it’s pretty much academic from that point.
That’s why Plant, Smith, Saunders etc all got dealt with so convincingly.

Yup, and Beterbiev has zero problems backing up people. Canelo's counters won't be as effective off the ropes or being on the back foot.

It's also very hard to attack Beterbiev to the body too. I can't remember the last time anyone had success attacking Beterbiev's body. His stance just doesn't lend him to being attacked to the body too well.

In a nutshell, Canelo will find Beterbiev his most formidable opponent.
