    Canelo is honey badger.

Canelo is a 5'7 midget. He is smaller and shorter than all of his recent opponents and has reach disadvantage. He still beats the crap out of them with his pure skills. If he beats Bivol, he will fight Makabu and Beterbiev who are another much bigger fighters than himself. Fighters like Robinson, Greb, Langford or Pacquiao are seen as greatest because they beat much bigger fighters than themselves. They were great in their natural weight division but they became greatest when they proved themselves in different divisions. Canelo is on that way. He is great.

Size isn’t always relevant to height. I think Canelo is a natural Super Middleweight, he’s a naturally bigger guy than Saunders for example who could make definitely still make 160 if he wasn’t a lazy t***.

He has beaten some naturally bigger guys though like Kovalev and Smith. If he can Beterbiev to that list that’s some achievement IMO. I think he’s capable too.

I think Beterbiev will prove too far a step.

Everyone else though - easy peasey.

Beterbiev has the best shot of beating Canelo of anyone from 160-175. To beat this version of Canelo you need to be able to push him backwards as he’s far less effective off the back foot. If you look at guys who’ve had success against Canelo in recent years such as GGG, Jacobs etc they all pushed him backwards at times during the bout.

Trying to outbox him on the back foot doesn’t work anymore, Canelo’s pressure game is far too good. He’s a complete fighter now, he’ll cut off the ring, get inside and it’s pretty much academic from that point.
That’s why Plant, Smith, Saunders etc all got dealt with so convincingly.

Amazing fighter could go down as the best but remember he also holds the record for a champion who’s fought in the most catchweights. I think it’s at 10 fights now. Some historians may hold that against him.

Its not why he beat Plant Smith Saunders, they don't have the class or ability to maintain it, Floyd could do it for 12 and not break a sweat, Plant showed Canelo still has trouble with boxers that can move because Canelos feet are slow, it's only they are not that top tier but a notch below and they are not fighting to win more to survive. You can only beat whats in front of you and there is not that much there atm, 2 ways to beat Canelo, Floyds way or you got to be that much more powerful, either way, you have got to be special to beat him.

I agree! You have to be a great fighter to beat Canelo. I guess someone can also become great on the night but I’m afraid that most of the fighters that would get the opportunity are not great. Great fighters pave their own path and want to fight even if they’re facing lower opposition.

Beterbiev has a chance to beat Canelo but I will say… that once Canelo and his team decides to take on the fightz…then we know it’s the right time for team Canelo. And when they take that fight…you can’t bet against him. He’s unlocked the matrix bruh. By the time Canelo loses he will be too slow and heavy from being at a higher weightclass too long.
