Pro boxing is an individual sport. In Olympics you represent your country, so a ban there is understandable, but in the pros you represent yourself.

Like others say I think it goes ahead as a title fight because WBA want a slice of Canelo sanctioning fees.

The title will be on the line for Canelo. Mendoza ain’t missing out on those inflated sanctioning fees.

The WBA will sanction the fight, there not going to lose out on that easy extortion money.
So I do agree with you RJJ-94-02=GOAT, unfortunately money talks, and other thing's don't matter as much.
More importantly Bivol hasn't voiced any support whatsoever for, about, or of the invasion of any sovereign nation.

Sounds good but inaccurate. Boxing in the USA is an individual sport because Americans don’t make it about nationalism or tribe. Boxing for other countries is very much a “this is for all my people”, “viva Mexico”, “this is for all the Filipinos”, “I think wilder will win but as a Brit I hope fury wins” type of sport where football songs are sung like it’s a FIFA event. Good for the wba, the more pressure on Russia the better. Russian people need to remove their dictator of a leader…it’s Russian little people who will hurt the most and that’s the goal of sanctions, so that the people remove their own dictators
