Both are, or will be, All Time Greats. But I have to say Floyd at this moment. Names like Chicanito Hernandez, Corrales, Castillo, Pacman, and De La Hoya are much more attractive than GGG, Lara, Trout, Callum Smith, and Plant.

People forgetting how good Floyd was

In the rare occurrence an opponent won 3 CLEAR rounds

      it was cause for celebration

It isn’t noteworthy when a guy wins several rounds vs Alvarez

Floyd also beat names in better fashion

Castillo is the only controversial decision in Floyd’s career

Alvarez has at least 3 controversial decisions: Trout, Lara, & ggg

        different class of fighters

floyd didn’t fight too many long slick fighters like Lara

he dominated old fighters that were once great

Still think Floyd is a better fighter

But not a huge gap between them

When Floyd was 21 he beat the brakes of HOF Genaro Hernandez, having his 17th pro fight, Genaro if by magic was a MW he would give today's Canelo hell.

When Canelo fought Floyd he was 23 and undefeated in 42 fights, 10 were WT fights, he was coming of beating Trout Mosley and Lopez, when Floyd beat Hernandez he came of 17 fights beating nobody. When Floyd was in his 42nd fight as Canelo was Floyd was beating the biggest names in boxing and nearly all of them were HOF guys .

IF they were pound for pound the same size Floyd would toy with Canelo who still has the same slow feet he always had its only that he has not fought anybody near Floyds ability,
Cut the Chicanito bullshiiit. Floyd fans love hyping him up, he wasn’t all that man, keep it real.

He dominated good fighters, but not great ones….unless they were young and had catchweight baggage.

What impressive fighter did Floyd ever shut down that didn’t have baggage tied to the fight?

Pac after the best version of himself had already passed by?

                Old Mosley?

                Old Oscar?

                Berto?

                Victor Ortiz??

                Decent to okish Chicanito?

                Overrated Hatton?

Who on his resume is a bad ass that he beat?

I always do its you who likes to blow off what you cannot argue against.

There ain't nobody in the game today that could beat Floyd saying they are the same size, what Floyd did to truly great fighters shows his ring IQ and skills is on another level.

Canelo is the best fighter in the world today where there are no household names to be great against so he jumps around weights bashing contenders and the fans love it, Floyds era had a killers row in it from 130-154, with Canelo I seen enough of the same faults with Plant that allowed Floyd to beat him so easy to know he would do it again, Plant isn't 50% of what Floyd is.

The only thing that beats Floyd is size, pound for pound he is the best since Leonard, Canelo is yet to hit that level and he might do it yet as he still got a few years to go, he needs dance partners and that HOF level of quality is not there right now, trinket collecting doesn't mean much against rated guys, and Andre Ward fight would have been huge on his resume, as it is GGG is the best fighter he has fought and not another HOFer insight from MW to HW.

The irony of it. Pac best common opponents dlh, hatton, and cotton in better fashion than floyd ever could or would but it don't mean much to you. But it somehow does when floyd beats non common opponents with Nell convincinvly?
Nell best Ssm quite convincingky, didn't nearly get koed by him. Nell also best cotton as good as floyd did.

Floyd’s era was killers row??? So who dude, who? I asked the question again with it going unanswered.

Who was so bad ass that Floyd shut down? Past prime pac and weight drained green Canelo is all he has.

Oscar was old already, so was Mosley. That’s it. Everyone else was good but no killers. Quit the bullshiiiit
