But what would have happened if Canelo was 36 and Floyd had been just 23? I think Canelo would have beat his ass bad.

Yup, back in the day that was glorified, beating up a champion that out weighs you by 20, 30lbs.

Floyd easily right now, but Canelo has a good chance to narrow the gap. Both could be all time top 10 fighters when it’s all said and done.

If you look at what they accomplished at Canelo's age, the gap isn't as large as some here might think.

Canelo can catch up but there are no great fighters in his weight class. They are all stalling waiting for Canelo to call and nobody is fighting each other.

Floyd is better defensively, Canelo is better offensively. In a head to head fight at their best I'd choose Canelo to win. Especially now that he has experience on the big stage headlining major PPV events.
