But go ahead and keep spreading fake news and ride Benavidez schlong some more.

So here is obvious truth, Reynoso picks the opponents and he feels like guys such as Benavidez or Beterbiev are too risky right now and not worth the reward. So he’ll avoid them for now but title chase because he knows the fan base will say “ohh he wants to make history and get belts in another division”. But the reality is it’s all a disguise for his desire to minimize risk and pick up titles that look good on paper, but for anyone who knows boxing, they understand that the level of opposition is more significant than the title.
Canelo only petitioned for that wbc 168 title after Benavidez was stripped and that wasn’t a coincidence. Canelo fans will say, oh but Benavidez lost his belt by using drugs and not making weight but will ignore that when canelo couldn’t make weight, he changed the weight to 155 and we he got caught using illegal substances he got a slap on the wrist and fought for the title in his next fight, but all of a sudden they are all righteous about following the rules.

Benevidez did this to himself. He has nothing right now but a big mouth trying to lure Canelo into fighting him. No titles, failed drug tests and weight limits has been his downfall and he thinks he is entitled to a fight without one signature win.
The other 168 had belts even though their level of competition wasn't that great either.BigDramaShow! likes this.

Benavidez is right. What's past is past, can't be changed...the fact is TODAY, there is no more deserving contender at 168. Alvarez is the cash cow AND the champion so he gets to choose whether or not to defend against the #1 contender. But if not? He should vacate the titles or be stripped. But he shouldn't get to win the titles then just sit on them.

David made a couple of mistakes, losing his title outside the ring, but yeah, Canelo isn't going anywhere near Benavidez for a long time.
Well, not in 2022 anyway. They really should fight, even if it's at light heavyweight, where maybe both will be more comfortable.Oldskoolg likes this.

Regardless of what Benavitez did with the coke and weight fiascos, the fact remains, it’s still an interesting bout. I think would be a dangerous bout for Canelo as long as it lasts. Yeah Benavitez lacks the defense, but his gas tank, his body shots, are dangerous. It’s still a better bout, more interesting and more dangerous than that guy Canelo wants to fight at Cruiserweight.
