Floyd Mayweather Says Terence Crawford Is P-4-P #1 Today; Wants To Work With Him
        November 26, 2021 by

But Floyd Mayweather, who once ruled supreme as the pound-for-pound best himself, says Terence Crawford is the man.

Not only does “Money” feel Crawford, a three-weight champ and the current welterweight #1 (it’s up to Errol Spence to prove otherwise) is the best, he also wants to work with Crawford, “because I know what I can do to take him to that next level.” Speaking with Fight Hype, Mayweather had nothing but great things to say about the 38-0 Crawford.

“The pound-for-pound fighter right now is Terence Crawford,” Mayweather stated. “Everything about life is about time and patience. And Crawford, I just truly believe that he doesn’t have to be under my company for me to give him praise; I am not like that. If he is ever a free agent and he would like to go to any company, I would love to work with him. Because I know what I can do to take him to that next level as he has a lot of raw talent, and he is a hell of a fighter. There is a lot of great fighters out there, but he [Crawford] is a mutha*****, and one thing I like about him is he reminds me of a young Floyd Mayweather. He can fight his ass off, and that’s what I like about him, but he is a lot older than I was when he started getting praise because I fought for a world title when my career began blossoming.”

The Floyd fans acting naive. Would anyone say that Floyd's PHYSIQUE at 152-154 wasn't the END GAME for any fighter in boxing having started at 130lbs? Renowned HOF's, ATG's, elites, current elites, have shown a variance in weight LEAPS within 25lbs AVERAGE! If Haney is rehydrating close to 25lbs at 135lbs. Then what weightclass would HANEY NOT drain at all? You guys keep forgetting that draining is an integral part of our sport, be it 10lbs-25lbs exploitative practices. Sure nowadays they implemented 10lb morning weight limits, but even that process is highly calibrated so that when the fighter has finished it, their nutrition specialist JACKS THEM UP for the night performance. Everything is calibrated in our sport.

Many know my stance. Floyd looked more ripped and chiseled in his 152 against Canelo and softer on fight night. So we know Floyd hydrated 4lbs at the VERY LEAST! I'll even say MAYBE 2lbs - I'll give Floyd kats that. Even Floyd making 151 for Cotto was monitored. All it simply means that Floyd DIDN'T have to cut weight at his peak class then young guns Haney are doing at their initial class. That's all normal since the older you get and continue your career you naturally get heavier as metabolism slown down. Look at Nonito's outing against Inoue. Dude looked bad at his weigh in... but whatever that's Nonito's prerogative if he wants to. I'm just saying all fighters have to calibrate to make the weight, and circumstances differ.

Haney has even said in his mouth these past couple of weeks that he doesn't plan to go higher than 154 in his career. Look at Haney or Crawford, they tower Floyd.

It's impossible to say ''PRIME FLOYD'' beats a ''PRIME CANELO.'' a Prime Floyd is more offensive than his post defensive style. It means there's more probability that he gets clipped in a trade. And all this ''same size'' mysticism. If Canelo is lighter than his current physique but same Ring IQ, it means he is SIGNIFICANTLY faster in all attributes which makes him a seriously dangerous fighter at any lower class. Reflexes are all part of Ring IQ. So PRIME CANELO does a way better job than any of Floyd's adversaries. I'd say Canelo beats Floyd in what Chavez couldn't with Whitaker or what DLH couldn't to Floyd or Whitaker.

With TMT Promotions (as of late) not making any sense or crying about Canelo and Hearn, fans have started to backfire and notice that Floyd hasn’t matured up in dis hoe. The ego and insecurity is bliss! Floyd just needs to continue doing his thing by regressing his talents. Maybe two generations after Tank, when Floyd is in late 50’s that we might get the non “me me me.” Unfortunately for many Floyd LDBC conservationists won’t be around in those times. it is what it is

The best way to embrace boxing and be a true boxing fan is to witness the Canelo doing his thing. We want to see David vs Goliath fights like Canelo is doing. Bring Beterbiev, Makabu, Benavidez, Joe Smith Jr., Zurdo, Smith-2 (rematch).

Sorry Floyd. Your 152 will be forgotten, as I told many. That was not Canelo’s ideal weight
The article has nothing to do with Canelo yet as always, you Canelo groupies have to find a way to make it about him. Just slide in Canelo’s DM’s, offer to blow him and be done with it.

shhh. You're better citing these things in the Mailbag threads. I like all the Purple Slurpers get so defensive that Canelo - the HNIC - makes all those whom enjoyed Floyd as the defacto image - upset that he isn't reppin the game and instead ruining his fighters. Don't worry. I said maybe 2 generations later his TMT brand will have a fighter he can push non-insecurely.

If Mayweather approaches his businesses and entrepreneur pursuits with the same dedication as he did boxing 'He will not want to do exhibitions'.

The exhibitions where just Mayweather slowly but surely, moving on from boxing.

Cool, but please let your fighters represent themselves if they speak English, this ain't WWE, quit acting like Paul Heyman.

Or atleast stop once they have a household name, it's weird seeing Floyd take over Tank Pressers, the public needs to get used to Tank stand on his own two outside the ring

He can try, but I doubt he can sit back and let another man get some shine.
