People with 0's. People who have 0 losses but also have 0 accomplishments. There is a growing crowd gathering of these zeros looking only to get paid. Benevidez afraid to move from his 168 comfort zone though he can barely, and not always, meet that requirement. Whiney Charlo and Andrade, afraid of everyone at 168 and even afraid of each other, though they hide under the same bed.

I agree with you, that Benavidez is a real threat, but I believe he needs to beat Charlo, Morrell Jr., or Browne (Should he beat Beterbiev) to get the fight!
I agree that Benavidez shot himself in the foot with the coke and missing weight. Now I believe that had Benavidez still been a champ, Canelo wouldn’t have been so adamant about unifying at 168. He knew he’d get that belt thrown in by the wbc so that made it an ideal situation. But as you said, Benavidez eliminated himself from the equation. As far as him being an unreliable opponent, that’s not the excuse that Reynoso used and it also didn’t stop them from signing to fight Saunders, who has been at least as unreliable as Benavidez. Instead Reynoso used the old fan boy argument that he needs to earn it, which anyone who has been paying attention to Canelo’s opponent selection, knows is Bs.

The ever-dangerous Avni Yildrim- Now THAT guy got a much-deserved shot at Canelo! Haven't these coaches/promoters figured it out yet? Benavidez has held a belt twice. He's only ever beaten himself. For Canelo's people to say he hasn't "earned" a fight only makes cinnamon look like he's ducking him, because he's not so sure he will look good against David nor beat him. For Canelo, greatness doesn't come from fighting the young lions in the division. For him, it comes from beating weak belt holders, whom he knows he can beat.

If Canelo has fought all of these top 3 guys, top 3 champions, guys that his critics said he was ducking, with better wins than what Benavidez has and his critics forget these wins then why would Canelo think it would be any different if he beats Benavidez?

Critics don’t care that he fought Callum Smith after saying he would duck him. They don’t care that he fought Jacobs after saying he would duck him. GGG twice, Lara, Trout. His critics said he would duck all these guys. They don’t care that he fought them. They said he would drain Kovalev, is too scared to fight him at 175lbs. He fought him at 175 and KO’ed him.

So Canelo fought all these guys that these clowns said he would duck, and they continue with the ducking accusations. This time, it’s Benavidez? He beat up on a 35 year old Anthony Dirrell, and went 1-1 with Gavril, unofficially. Put on his ass by Gavril, and beaten, but got the gift. Come on. That’s who you are all bringing up now? That’s who he’s ducking now? Maybe in time, Benavidez will be a great fighter. He will be a true #1 fighter, in time.

For now, the only reason he is #1 is basically because of Canelo cleaning out the division. He is #1 by default. The dudes Canelo beat are going to lower in rankings. He is certainly not #1 at 168 because he beat Kyrone Davis, Ronald Ellis, or Roamer Angulo. He’s moving up by default because the other top guys got beaten and moved down.
are you giving Canelo an imaginary automatic win over Benavidez because of his fight with Gavril 4 years ago when he was only 20 yrs old? That’s as logical as saying that Angulo was going to beat Canelo when they fought because Jose Cotto rocked Canelo when Canelo was 19. You seem to be making a lot of excuses to minimize the belief that Benavidez is the most dangerous threat at 168. Meanwhile, he’d likely be favored to beat anyone Canelo has faced at 168.

It's all b s!!! They just scare of a real fight. Benavides will not play around. He will go after him. Canelo just like soft fighters so he can look good. He will never be close to the greatest JC Chavez. Never.

This shit is not a good look for the sport of boxing. You got the so called P4P best fighter in the world today ducking high leveled, skilled and undefeated opponents that the boxing public wants to see. i say fuck this motherfucker!
                  What an absurd comment.

Makabu fight is more dangerous than Benavidez.
