Imo if you fight more than twice a year, you are free to fight an easy opponent. And those dont really count to the was he worth it or not argument.

Otherwise do you expect fighters who fight more than twice a year to face top 3/5 opponents every single time? That's not really realistic.
Either you get a yildirim level opponent as the third opponent or only 2 fights a year.

”Crawford is calling out Errol Spence”

Dude Canelo fought GGG twice, Lara, Jacobs, Mayweather, Trout, Cotto, Callum Smith. You’re over here talking about “Crawford called out Errol Spence”. LOL. That’s the funniest sh/t i’ve read concerning Crawford. This guy called out Errol Spence. Oh no! Canelo’s resume is in deep sh/t now. Crawford is out here, at 34 years old, ready to step up!

At 34, it’s the least he can do with his weak resume

As far The Ring rankings go:

      Terence Crawford, 34:

Ring top 10 fighters Crawford has fought:

      Ricky Burns: #3 Ranked (135)

      Beltran: #2 Ranked (135)

      Dulorme: #10 Ranked (140)

      Postol: #1 Ranked (140)

      Indongo: #7 Ranked (140)

      Horn: #8 Ranked (147)

      Kavaliauskas: #7 (147)

      Shawn Porter: #4 (147)

      Weak as fck. Lol.

      ——————————————————

      Canelo Alvarez, 31:

Ring top 10 fighters Canelo fought:

      Ryan Rhodes, #4 (154)

      Austin Trout #3 (154)

      Floyd Mayweather #1 (154)

      Erislandy Lara #2 (154)

      Miguel Cotto #Ring champion (160)

      Liam Smith #9 (154)

      Gennady Golovkin #1 (160)

      Gennady Golovkin #1 (160)

      Daniel Jacobs #2 (160)

      Sergey Kovalev #2 (175)

      Callum Smith #Ring champion (168)

      Billy Joe Saunders #4 (168)

      Caleb Plant #2 (168)

      Ilunga Makabu #2 (199)

Out of that entire resume, Liam Smith is the closest fighter to what Crawford likes to fight.

Crawford’s old ass is ready to step up to a ready-to-retire group of welters.

Errol Spence is supposedly damaged goods, according to Pac haters. They were talking sh/t about Spence being done, injured, not the same, should retire. Making excuses in case Pac beat Spence.

But now we will see Errol Spence be an ATG, in his prime again.

Still I will take Crawford over Canelo any day because he has never ducked a fighter. Bud is more fan friendly than Alvarez. If the fans demand it then Terence would deliver it unlike Canelo.

Once Crawford unifies the welterweight crown that would be two weight divisions that he would have cleaned out; 140 and 147 in the four major title belt era. In addition, Crawford fought the very best in each division.

While Canelo took short cuts and did not; All the while doping and using performance enhancing drugs for most of his boxing career. Terence is and has always been a clean fighter who doesn't cheat unlike Clenelo.

Rocky fielding had the wba smw title at the time, yildrim was a mandatory that would have cost canelo the belt had he not made the defense, had benavidez not been f.king around and managed to hold on to his title then he would have made a strong case for Canelo to fight him, at this point its a hard fight with not a lot to gain, no titles, no big accomplishments on davids end to make a win against him hold some weight, i would love to see the fight but cant compare the 2 fights you mentioned as evidence thats its a duck

Canelo is a b/tchmade coward who had fought and beaten countless other top professional boxers. So, what does that make you if he gets in the ring with fighters like GGG, Mayweather, Jacobs, Lara, Makabu, Callum Smith, Kovalev?

And what does that make Terence Crawford? Whose resume looks like crap compared to the younger Canelo?
You said that he would pummel me? Really?

Canelo Alvarez isn’t being “ordered” to fight little-known Avni Yildirim next for the vacant World Boxing Council super-middleweight title. Instead, WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman explained to The Athletic, this is what Alvarez wants
Strange he is not requesting Benavidez which would sell out any stadium in the USA and draw the biggest PPV?

                  Crawford never ducked a fighter?

                  You are right.

                  He ducked multiple fighters.

That dude ducked the entire 147lb division by signing to Top Rank TWICE, to chase ONE fighter, old Pacquiao. Dude signed to TR twice to chase a past prime Pacquiao. And duck the entire 147lb division in their prime.

                  They are all done.

Porter is literally done with boxing.

Spence has like 1-2 fights left.

                  DSG is done.

There is Ugas, Ennis, and Ortiz Jr. Ugas beat Crawford twice. Not sure if he will want him.
Crawford knows what he’s doing. Porter retired. Spence doesn’t have much left with his fcked up face. He’s going to get Margarito’ed here soon.

Crawford is so much more fan friendly than Canelo, you can tell in their PPV buys.

If Canelo went through the level of fighters that Crawford has fought, he would TKO1’s littered all over his resume. And Canelo is still very fan friendly even while fighting much more difficult styles than Crawford. Where are the Lara’s, Mayweather’s, and the GGG’s and the Jacobs’ in Crawford’s resume? Seriously. Where are those elites? Porter, Postol, and Beltran. I’ll give him those three. 34 years old and he has like 3 very good top fighters there.

                  Crawford ducked an entire division.

Canelo fought the best across 3 divisions.

The closest fighters Crawford has fought, that are the level of fighters Canelo constantly fights, are Beltran, Postol and Porter.

Yeah the comparison is not even close! Canelo All Day! However Bud does have a chance to catch him! He could become Undisputed (again) @ 147 and 154 before 2023 is done! That would be LEGENDARY!

You can depend on a Canelo article to bring out the fan-boi's almost as much as a Wilder article. Sad fact is that we all know lucre is what matters and Canelo, whatever you think of him, brings the loot. Canelo has attained the position whereupon securing a fight with him makes you life changing money. You can argue that fighting Makubu is a cherry pick, but I hardly think he's low-hanging fruit. He has 4 1/2 inches height on Canelo and 3 1/2 inches reach & he's a ****ing cruiserweight. Yeah he's nowhere near as skilled as Canelo, but who is up at the higher weights? Usyk maybe? Now I'm no fan boi... I had Canelo definitely losing the 1st fight to GGG and I can see arguments for other dodgy decisions that have gone his way. But to expect a man who's gotten himself into the position he has to seek out the fighter who can beat him rather than take on viable opponents that he reckons he can beat is nonsense. Just think what it would mean in terms of status and earning power for a fighter to beat him, it's the opportunity of a lifetime and it's up to the opposing fighter to give 110% to that. The guy is under 5'8" and is challenging a cruiserweight beltholder ffs, give him his props.
