Could Manny Pacquiao beat David Haye?

    By Scott Gilfoid:
David Haye will soon do battle with the current WBA Heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev. Assuming Haye does not get caught by the slower Russian he should be able to carve out a boring decision victory. Meanwhile Manny Pacquiao takes on Miguel Cotto, in a fight that "Pac-Man" should come out of victorious. I wonder what would happen if these two fighters met head to head in their next fight. Obviously there is a big size and weight difference but I belive that even at 135lbs Pacquiao would have a good chance of a quick knockout victory over Haye.
David Haye's chin and defence are both terrible, and his power is very over-rated. Sure he may catch Pacquiao a couple of times, but that would not likely be enough to seriously hurt the tough pound-for-pound champion. Pacquiao on the other hand would be able to hit Haye at ease, and with his dreadful chin I dont see Haye lasting long.
If this fight could somehow be arranged I think it would be an amazing spectacle, as the over-hyped Haye is swiftly knocked out by the much smaller man. However the sad truth is that Haye would never agree to such a fight.

I said i wasn't gonna underestimate that little guy no more but David Haye is a long shot. His handspeed is very fast for his size and he's very powerful. Once he traps Manny like Hatton trapped him in the ropes but did nothing, Haye could really hurt Manny.

That's a joke right? He outweighs Manny by over 50 pounds.

Even with the size difference I see the fight playing out exactly as the Hatton fight did. Pac might even throw the left from behind his back, ala Roy Jones and before him Donald Hoskins who was the inventor of the punch. David would most likely come to his senses before the fight took place though and an "injury" would occur.....

Valuev outweighs Haye by about 100lbs......but who knows what the author of that was thinking probably was upset he wasn't chosen to be one of the 20 men.
