At what point will Floyd Mayweather get the credit he deserves?

It seems Hatton also said Pacquiao was the best overall as well though he correctly predicted Mayweather would beat Pacquiao.
Common opponents' opinions:
Mosley & Cotto: Mayweather best overall.
Marquez, De La Hoya, & Hatton: Pacquiao best overallLast edited by tritium_arma; 10-29-2021, 12:51 AM.

So, Pac fans love Pac because he's a lovable Yes Man and not so much his resume ?
I mean, how can a Pac fan explain the bums he fought at WW alone ???? Pac fans mock May vs Conor and Berto.
Conor was a pure $$$$$$ grab that anyone with at least 1 brain cell would have jumped at. Thing is, only a fighter with May's credentials made that a mega event.
Berto > Rios, Algeiri, HORN, Broner, DLH, Lucas, most likely Mosley and Vargas......
How can a Pac fan defend his WW resume without looking like an utter fool ?!?!?!
Keith and who else ?!?!?!

Editor’s Note: This feature originally appeared in the August 2016 issue of The Ring ****zine.
After four fights with him, I was able to know him better. ILast edited by tritium_arma; 10-29-2021, 12:59 AM.

His offense…not so much. His ability to pick and choose all details of his fights gave him leverage for his lack of offense and makes him seem better than what he is.
Also worth mentioning that Floyd also paid usada out of his own pocket. That's how he was able to get a free pass on the failed drug tests from 2010 - 2012. The TUE he got against Manny may perhaps be one of the most blatant examples of favoritism in sports.
Im also su****ious of why Floyd declined the 5 million dollar positive test fee if he was indeed clean.
I also agree with your assessment of Floyd's limited offensive skills. As we can see in spoons video, Floyd was actually out landed significantly by Manny in their fight.

Floyd is the best of his era no doubt about it, that is why he beat everyone, as time goes by history will look back and go wow what a ring genius he was.
Sometimes, this goes against being a civilian’s boxer
every boxing gym I been in had kids hailing Floyd as a hero for his mastery of boxing
