Question about our new “4 Kings” of Lightweight

    I just want you all to provide your prospective on what are being called the 4 Kings of current in no order;
    Devin Haney
    Gervonta Davis
    Teofimo Lopez
    Ryan Garcia

Why is Ryan there? Like him or not Loma should be in the crowd of the 4 with Ryan out. I understand we have plenty of haters about different ones, but he and Teo fought, Teo won. That should be the beginning of this loose tournament group.Loma also has the will to want to rematch: isn’t this what our Past Kings did?
Why should we allow Social Media following to dictate a placement in history?
We need these warriors to cross paths and I do not see Ryan doing anything but side stepping. Mental Health is a serious condition as I struggle myself, but that is no reason to categorize him with the others, hell there is no normal.
Apologies on the rant….was just thinking of the situation.
Feedback and opinions welcome. Let’s keep it clean Gentlemen!

I think it’s silly to look at the group like a collective. If you do, Ryan simply isn’t on this list imo.

Loma made it clear he didn’t want to fight Haney. Imo, None of the 4 kings would’ve done what he did.

Tank is not trying to fight any of them right now. None of them would’ve done that.

Teo is acting like Ray did after he beat Hearns- no rematch until he says so.

The other 3 kings all moved toward Hagler. These guys all seem to be moving away from Haney, not that he is a Hagler in any way.

It's a ridiculous moniker for any one of them. As much as I dislike his obnoxious little arse,Teo's the only one that should be labeled as King or whatever. He's the only one of those four with any credible wins, and has 2 at that,Commey and Loma. The other 3 guys haven't beaten anyone remotely near Lomas skill level.

It also wouldn't be a stretch to say Ryan has the second best win of the bunch either, mainly because of the manner in which he did it. I'm not the biggest fan of his but because of his speed, power and stature I'd say Ryan has the most potential of the 4 imo. Too bad he had to go and fuch up his wrist as I was really looking forward to himself and JoJo.

The Four Kings all fought each other and that’s what made that era so special, these four queens just talk about fighting one another. They’re nowhere near comparable to the real Four Kings. The closest thing to the Four Kings in the modern era was Pacquiao, Marquez, Barrera and Morales, especially when you look at the volume and quality of the fights they had.

            You’re not wrong.

There’s only three elite fighters at 135. Lopez, Loma and Tank- although even Tank needs to start fighting better comp.

Haney and Garcia ain’t on that level. They’ve got two semi-decent wins between them and in those fights Haney got badly shook by a way past prime Linares and Garcia got dropped by Luke Campbell who was on the verge of retirement. They both have a long way to go before we consider them top class fighters.

I think it’s more to do with them all being young and coming up at the same time. Although tank is approaching his late 20s already so...

But I still think the term comes from the potential of them being able to fight each other for years to come, the next generation. Loma is mid 30’s nearly. But people see them for us being able to create an era in the next 5 years or so.

To be honest though, it’s nonsense. Ryan Garcia doesn’t seem to want to fight anybody.

Gervonta Davis has a team that only want to do in-house fights, The one time his team mentioned fighting Loma, he went on Twitter saying his promoter is trying to get him beat.

Devin Haney is running around with a belt he won by email and probably not fighting anyone good anytime soon.

There’s only Teofimo that truly wanted a fight with the best and chased the fight and won. The jury is still out on how he will be as a champion but at least he showed great intent. The rest are just pretenders at the moment.

As for Loma, Well he’s nearly 34 and probably passed his best and I don’t think 135 is his best division anyway.

lame how they wont fight each other

remember when 20 years ago we had tito, mosley, DLH, they all fought each other, took some L's and moved on with it.

90s era you had taylor, sweet pea, JCC, they all fought each other.

Everyone now is afraid to get an 0, so they "marinate" fights until its like 5 years too late. You got so many dudes who are 30 with no big wins.

Ryan isnt that good. Haney has a good skill level but he has no power and isnt really that fast. He wont do well moving up in weight so hes sort of stuck where he is. Davis and lopez are the better of the two. Of course they wont ***ing fight each other though.
