The whole idea of "chemical imbalance" is theory, though the term has become de facto explanation for everything mental. If it was a matter of chemical imbalance, and oft touted pharmaceuticals simply rebalanced those chemicals, then we'd all be smiling all day long.

Anyway, getting hit in the head a lot can cause issues. That's solid science right there. But some boxers have issues later. Some don't. And just because a boxer has issues, that doesn't prove causation. Maybe he had issues since he was a kid.

But it seems you're taking it a step further and claiming to be able to diagnose people from afar, even if they don't seem to exhibit problems.

You can say I don't see it because it's not my my profession. Maybe the reason you "see" it all so easily is because that's what you want to see.
Yes, I was being modest instead. This is not Fordham University all over again, you guys are not professors grading my paper, there’s no APA style citations needed, I am not obligated to search for peer-reviewed studies of the brain, chemicals, depression, trauma to the brain, etc. I could get that, but there is no reason. If you don’t agree with what I said, it’s okay. I am willing to discuss it, but that’s as far as I will go.

Drugs for depression do work in most cases. The most popular drug out there works in more than 80% of cases. It is not perfect, but it works in most cases. Again, i’d get you studies, but this is not a dissertation I am trying to defend. If you want to disagree, that’s fine.

There were other things you said that I just didn’t want to argue against it because I didn’t see the point.

I am not entirely sure, I can’t tell, if you have done time in prison or work for a prison but what you stated about prison not being a place to share emotional sensitivities because offenders get “shanked, beat up and ****d.” There is zero correlation between an offender opening up about his mental health issues and him getting beat up, shanked or ****d. Zero correlation. The two have nothing to do with each other. Those three things, the biggest correlation to those are drugs (using and selling) and gangs. What you said sounds like something off of a poorly-made prison movie.

No one is claiming to diagnose anyone from afar. If that is how you see it, I suggest you to re-read everything. I stated the obvious. Yes, your head getting repeatedly hit, in a violently physical manner like in boxing or MMA, for years, will increase your chances of TBI. This is common sense. It is like a mathematician telling you something as trivial as 1+1=2 and you come back to argue against it or ask him to show proof. Or telling him he needs to show his work.

At the last sentence: Yes, sure, it is what I want to see. The head getting hit repeatedly, for years, will make a fighter suffer brain issues that will lead to mental health problems. This is something my biased self strictly wants to see. There is no evidence. Like an astronomer telling someone the moon has craters. It is something only he can see with his telescope and his astronomy experience. No one else can see the craters, despite them being obviously there and there was no need for an astronomer to defend that statement. But yeah, they are there because that is he wants to see, sure.

So many people suffer from mental issues its a pandemic, and the reason why it's getting worse is because of the dog eat dog society that will live in, and the fact that people with mental issues are having lots of babies that are bound to recreate more of the same, Ive seen 3 generations all with some form of BPD, as I said mental illness is a pandemic thats swept under the carpet.

Ive seen how it wrecks just normal lives, it would be a time bomb as a celebrity and so many fall to pieces from the pressure of the limelight they just cannot deal with it their mind is in overdrive and its fragile, the body reacts with racing thoughts and anxiety which can lead to severe paranoia with the body becoming sick.

I hope Teo gets a hold of his mind where it flows like a canoe ride on calm water, any form of mental instability is a curse I wish him all the best to get out of the dark places he goes to.

This reminds me of an old saying

"Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. Weak men create hard times."

We're at the stage where weak men are creating hard times.

The good news is that the hard times will create strong men, I guess.
