I'm not sure this is really a PPV fight..or at least it probably wouldn't have been one not so long ago. Fights of this caliber were on HBO and Showtime.

Do you think it would do more than Pac/Ugas' 250k buys? I really don't know. Crawford hasn't lit it up on PPV but he hasn't great matchups for pay per view. Does Porter as an opponent really change that?

Depending on what happens to PBC and FOX's contract we may see PBC going to the Paramount Plus App. At that point the majority of American boxing will be via app (PBC, Matchroom, possibly GBP, any of Top Rank's ESPN+ offerings, Triller fights, etc)...only network boxing may be the occasional Top Rank card on ESPN.
Are you forgetting showtime? Consequently, I get my showtime through an app that offers scores of other stations as well. I already get the paramount app. I don’t know too many Americans who don’t use apps these days. The problem with dazn is it doesn’t offer anything most Americans want to see. This should enrage anyone, it’s simply true.

Ideally I want what's best for the fighters and the sport. I also want what's best for me as a fan.

If a promoter who happens to provide content for an app bids highest, which means I can watch it as part of my subscription fee, I would be happy with that result regardless of how much exposure it gets to casual audiences.

If the fight occurs on PPV, I'm not sure I would buy that PPV.

It’s not a PPV fight that’s for sure. I said this a couple of weeks back on here and the usual emotional boys on here had a conniption when I said it. If it goes PPV then it better have a stacked card with pbc and ESPN fighters. The fight itself will probably produce some fireworks but these are two names that only die hard boxing fans in the USA know.

Bob and Eddie going hard after Fury vs. Joshua flopped! I don't blame Eddie! If there's a purse bid for Crawford vs. Porter, you gotta take your shot! Lopez vs. Kambosos? That's just being petty!

I hope they have a card similar to Wilder vs. Fury III. Would love for them to put Matias vs. Ramirez, and James vs. Butaev on that card!

Damn, two Top 5 fighters in a historical marquee division of boxing going to a purse bid. That seasoned promoters aren't sure they can generate at least 8-10 mil out of this fight shows how much messed up this boxing game is. How long can boxing go operating like that?

Good Edward. Make TR and PBC fork up the money. If they dont, dazn is a good place for this fight to be shown.
