Representatives for Terence Crawford and Shawn Porter have successfully lobbied for an extension regarding current talks for their ordered WBO welterweight title fight. A purse bid hearing originally reserved for noontime Thursday at WBO headquarters in San Juan, Puerto Rico was since postponed.

I doubt either guy will be happy with a purse bid amount. This isn’t a PPV worthy fight.

I think we are looking at a time frame for the month of December 2021 before this fight will happen. The PBC has hopefully Wilder/Fury in October, then Canelo/Plant in November and then perhaps Spence/Crawford for December. We shall see. Hopefully, all of those fights can get done by the Fall of this year.

I get the 60-40 split for Crawford-Porter but that 66/33 in Stevenson favour is an outright insult to the Champion.

Irrespective of previous purses, the challenger should never earn more than the Champion.
