I have said it before, and I will say it again 'The middleweight divisions are way below par'.
No way, on anyway day would Alvarez be able to survive or dominate during the 90's or early 2000's 'I think he would stay at 154 pounds, and keep well clear of some of the middle weight fighters back then'.
I have just been watching some action of Caleb Plant, and he is not going to beat Canelo Alvarez.
He has some good idea's, but he does not have the athletic ability, or strength.
The fight will most likely looks similar to the Billy Joe Saunders fight, for as long as it last.

To sum it up for ignorance that means its probably not likely but I'm cheering for him anyway. Then I go on further and state how I think he should go about it for his best chance in MY opinion.
No fighter is invincible and can be beat. Does that make it a guarantee NO is there a possibility YES even if it's a slight one.greeneye99 likes this.

And can he keep his energy up in the late rounds. He can’t give away ANY rounds. The judges already have Canelo winning. That natural size advantage comes at a cost, plant has ZERO body fat, he is killing him self to stay at super middle.

As great as Floyd Mayweather is, Carl Froch, Joe Calzaghe, Bernard Kopkins, Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank Senior any top elite level middle weight from the 90's and early 2000's would most likely beat him.
At no point in history other than now, would Alvarez be able to yoyo up and down the weight divisions and pick fights 'Like a kid picking candy out of a sweet shop'.
The middle weight divisions are way way below par, full of fighters who are just not all-time great in terms of ability.
Canelo Alvarez to is credit, is exploiting them all.
Carl Froch would go through Alvarez as if he was made of paper mache, there would be a point in the fight where he just goes straight through hiim etc.
Note: Alvarez has got bigger since he fought Mayweather, but I don't think he has technically got any better. It is pretty clear that his movement is even worst now, than it was then.Queen_Leia likes this.
