Maidana was a brawler, I like brawlers. I knew what Marcos had. Again, the circumstances of the Mosely/Marg fight can have its own show. But Shane was still done.

I don't care who Floyd beats in fantasy fights. We talking resumes.
Canelo's fight before Floyd was Austin Trout, who recently beat Cotto. If he was good enough to beat someone who beat Cotto, he had what it took to beat Floyd. But he couldn't. No matter how you shape it, Floyd is the only one who has convincingly beat Canelo.

Maidana was coming off a huge upset in beating Broner. Yeah, Broner may have turned out to be a hypejob, but it was a huge deal back then. Maidana wasn't a slouch either.

If we're talking resumes, Floyd has better resumes than MAB, Morales, Marquez, Pacquiao and I love all of them.

    Wins over
    154 DLH
    154 Cotto
    *Canelo
    Maidana
    Corrales
    Castillo
    Hatton
    Mosley
    ...

They are better names and he fought most of them coming off of great performances.

Fck me have you looked at Mannys resume, start a thread resume for resume fight for fight, weights CWs form of opponents and there last 2 fights prior to Floyd or Manny fight.

You boys throw baseless blankets over name dropping BS, really go through their resumes I mean analyze them not in name value in the value of the performance based on what they were against and then what they did.

If I can't convince you that it was early in Canelo's career. Whatever. If hwas able to make it back down to 154 and faced Floyd today, maybe a different outcome.

Something can be said about each except a couple.
          Controversial split with Oscar.
          Canelo age/experience
Maidana- glove controversy, only chance Marcos had was a punchers.
Castillo-you already know A fat Hatton, fought 47. Best weight at 40.
And an old Mosely. No offense.

Bring up some of PBF wins when he was hungry, lol.

Exactly, Manny was a one dimensional fight who only threw left hands when he faced MAB. Not a good win?

Manny was moving up in weight, why not catchweights to get a fight made. Floyd did it to JMM, lol

Really doesn't take much to surpass Mayweather. Canelo will do it if he wins this unification. There will be no doubt if he wins or unifies 175 too.

Pac passed him up ages ago.

Nobody with 7 losses and Beaten by the man himself will surpass Floyd Mayweather, you people just say words that mean nothing and are based on fantasy.

Pac fought quality opponents. Mayweather fought Guererro type opponents or waited until they got old.

In Pac's case, he waited until Pac lost a few and been in wars before fighting him on short notice.

Floyd's wins over Canelo, Cotto, Maidana, and even Mosley meant more than most of Pac's wins last decade. Oh and then factor that Floyd beat Pacquiao convincingly and it's a no brainer.
23 year old Canelo, waaay down-hill Coto, maidana after losing a bunch of times and a stint in retirement. It goes on and on. Pacquiao never so blatantly tried to rip off the boxing world as Mayweather did.

The more that Canelo and Pacquiao shine the better Floyd's resume looks. Since he beat them both.
