I predicted Floyd would defeat Pac and that is exactly what I saw take place but if you think Floyd beat the fuck out of Pac, you have taken way too many head punches. It was a boring fight compared to the expectations and the superior boxer won that fight but no one beat the fuck out of anyone, drama queen.

100% Pacquiao surpassed Mayweather even up to this point and he’s still going. It’s the level of opponents, the challenges Pacquiao has faced head on. Mayweather didn’t fight anyone with a chance to win (except pacquiao) in the last 10 years of his career: always slower, past their primes or too green (canelo), totally over matched opponents. And his style was always akin to a cheat, a glorified version of running. Not quite hit and don’t get hit, more like don’t get hit and pitti-pat your way to a decision. Plus Mayweather clearly run away from the most dangerous opponents during his time including a prime Pacquiao. 2009 pacquiao would have knocked him out unconscious. No doubt about it.

Still better opposition than Mayweather faced. At the time Pacquiao faces people they have a chance because of their current form or style. They were intriguing matchups. Mayweather fights you always tuned in knowing the opponent had no chance in hell and for all the wrong reasons.

Floyd's wins over Canelo, Cotto, Maidana, and even Mosley meant more than most of Pac's wins last decade. Oh and then factor that Floyd beat Pacquiao convincingly and it's a no brainer.

Canelo was young, Maida a was a b class brawler, and Mosely was done also. Floyd's win ver Manny means almost nothing when you look at the history of making it happen.

Manny's fights with MAB, Morales, and JMM, again how many fights between them and Manny. All very watchable time and time again.
