Boxingscene has already laid the foundation:

Crawford would have to move forward according to the terms of the winning bid, or he would be stripped of the WBO belt he won by stopping Australia’s Jeff Horn in June 2018 in Las Vegas. The Omaha, Nebraska, native has one fight remaining on the contract extension that the three-division champion signed with Top Rank in the summer of 2018.

Porter, however, could walk away from the bid if he were persuaded by Haymon to accept another fight – perhaps a rematch with former WBA/WBC welterweight champ Keith Thurman. Their first fight, which Thurman narrowly won by unanimous decision in June 2016 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, was one of the most fan-friendly fights of that year.

The fight won't happen. Porter will vacate his ranking and fight Granados or something like that. Meanwhile, dumb shill cuck ****s like this clown F l i c k e r or these other idiots (bballchump11 , The Big Dunn , Larry x. , ShoulderRoll ) will somehow blame Crawford for the fight not happening.
Larry totes on and on about Malcolm X yet doesn't understand that Crawford is AA...shit is hilarious

Listening to Bruce Trampler Interview a couple of weeks ago as well as Bob Arum a week ago:

I will be shocked if the Bid for this fight goes crazy and I like and have much respect for Bud and Porter as fighters, however this is a fight for the Hardcore, it is no Crossover or Commercial/Casual Appeal to this fight.

Arum saying DAZN looking for Money and that they lost $3 Billion so he don't expect them to be a player in this Bid. Hearn has somewhat hinted that DAZN no longer just paying Crazy Purses with no return and rightfully so. Arum having his own issues too, it is very clear ESPN has cut his budget as well, seems like we're getting less and less Top Rank Cards on ESPN and the College Football Season is only 3 Weeks away which here in the U.S. Dominates on Saturdays when they're in Play. Also think too PBC having its issues and it looks like FOX is on the way out of boxing as well. Now they're pushing PBC on Youtube PPV for this Pacman vs Ugas fight

So while fans root against 1 Ent!ty and hope for the others to fail, I think Boxing As A WHOLE is in trouble and is losing fans quickly, even Hardcore Fans are losing interest so they better start delivering big fights to close out the year!

If anybody other than PBC wins the purse bid, Haymon will tell Porter to pass on the fight. It will be interesting to see what they bid. I don't think Top Rank is going to bid high. Neither of these guys are really PPV material. It kind of gets down to which promoter wants to lose money on the fight.

Lol insignificant to those who don't understand the business side, not to those who really know the sport.

Teo vs Kambosos went to purse bid and Teo was coming off a win over Loma (the only person in the p4p discussion other than Canelo and Bud).

If folks can't tell the diff between what promoters do and what fighters do then so be it. Arum lost the Manny and Joshua fights in one summer. Triller can offer the $ and Arum kills fights without thinking of the possible profit margins. Sadly anyone promoted by Arum, ODLH or Hearn loose oppotunities cause those 3 just put their ego first and negotiate through social media like kids.

Since Spence didn't want the heat, one or two fights before Bud goes after Errol's buddy Charlo at 154.

I clearly said in this thread that if Porter pulls out he will deserve heat from the fans.

Same as if Crawford drops the belt

            You're reading comprehension needs work.

If Crawford VACATES or is STRIPPED that falls on him solely.

Porter has no reason to walk away. He has nothing to lose and everything to gain. it makes no sense to walk away.

If he does, then clearly he is at fault in that instance.

In its announcement of the Crawford-Porter order, the WBO revealed that they must adhere to a 60-40 purse split, rather than the usual 80-20 split for mandated matches, based on an extensive evaluation of the three previous purses earned by both boxers.
Is this the new normal for the WBO? Take a look at the last 3 purses then use voodoo doctor magic and make up what the purse split is? I heard Herring-Stevenson Herring has the lesser split even though he's the champion. Makes you wonder why you would even bother with the WBO belt if some hotshot youngster comes along and gets a bigger split then you.

I don’t see Bud dropping his belt. Period

as for Porter, I can see him walking away from the fight and going in another direction, but if it isn’t for another title shot he deserves to be flamed relentlessly as well as Al. I don’t think Porter is afraid to fight Bud but I do believe he’d back out if Al told him to.

There is no non title fight at 147 for Porter that would be better than a title fight with Bud. a rematch with Spence is the only fight I would forgive Shawn for taking over a fight with Terrence and I don’t think that’s very likely . Spences future is uncertain and assuming he doesn’t get Pac right away he’ll probably get a tune up

Top Rank will bid just high enough to meet the "good faith effort" most likely required in their contract so they can get 25% or whatever split of Crawfords purse. But if in fact Crawford is not going to re-sign with Top Rank, then there is no way Bob is going to actually try and WIN this bid. He will just cover his rear with a good faith bid, and hope that PBC or Hearn bring a big bag................
