I'd probably pick a Kownacki type guy to beat him.
usyk was not dominate at 200. he fought to a draw with breides and couldnt hurt a one armed Gassiev. he even fought scared vs glowacki. he is good technically he can run and pitty pat to victory. impossible to win a decision vs AJ in the UK.

That principle is, "If someone has tried, and has not succeeded... don't assume otherwise unless some massive change has occurred... sort of like the physical world where a force will go forward until met with an equal or greater force... After all the talking and other nonsense? What we truly KNOW is that Usyk faltered when he took on a half decent gate keeping heavyweight. And I don't care what the judges thought... Its on tape, it can be watched.

Also, if one looks at Usyk, he was a fantastic cruiser... I might put him on a short list, its all on tape all the things he could do: head movement, tempo changes on his punches, angles, finishing aggressively... But he depended on being physical as a fighter to do these things, something he cannot do at heavy weight. To me this is an easy fight to call: First, we have precedent and then we have a breakdown which fails to show how Usyk can be physical with a fighter the size of Joshua. All Joshua has to do to win is catch Usyk who lately fights with his chin up and moves straight back... vis a vis he was almost clipped hard against slow Derrick doing this.
Great breakdown of Usyk I understand alot his fans wanna put him a pedestal and I get that but 2 fights at heavyweight and he hasn't shown anything that would make me pick him in this fight.

Don't listen to Bellew's nonsense. The only reason he's saying this is because he looked horrible against Usyk. Basically the reason why Usyk has this big name. Bellew is hoping Usyk looks great then it makes his loss to Usyk not look so bad. A.J. , who I'm not a fan of, will make Usyk look silly. I won't be surprised if Usyk quits during the fight .

Did you even watch the fight? Probably not, because he didn't look horrible. He just got knocked out in the end.

And lol @ Usyk quitting when he has never quit before in pro or amateur and has been in several tough fights, incl against Joyce.

Was it possible that Ruiz ko'd AJ? No, that wasn't possible either.

My question is, can AJ out point Usyk? I doubt it so he better not gas.

From what I'm reading you merely suggest AJ will win because of his physical size alone and because you consider him a puncher in both hands. Right?

Do I disagree with that? Nope.

But there are far more things to consider in boxing. Like consider how AJ has a bad tendency to idle in front of his opponents? Do you think that's advantageous against a guy like Usyk? A dude who wants to box you and use feints and movement?

Dude is literally called a robot for a reason and that's because he fights like one. Usyk match up wise is bad for Joshua. There is a very real chance he could over process. Joshua's only advantage is he does have the power to end the fight if he lands.

Does Joshha utilize that size you like so much? Nope. Dude has no inside fighting game at all. Dude doesn't fight in the clinch either. Plus, the bigger he is fight night the faster his tank will empty.

Chisora isn't as bad as you think at all. Dude might be a gatekeeper level talent but gives all kinds of guys good scraps. He's not a guy you take easy.

Do you really think it's advantageous for AJ to fight a long game behind his jab? Seriously you've said none of these things but hang to the super basic **** like "power in both hands" or "He's bigger" or "he's faster ".

Or Chisora is a bum when he's a quality opponent. Hes literally like a 90s Tua. A good guy who just falls short.

Like bro. You ain't even talking boxing.

I expect a competitive fight despite who wins.

I agree 100 + % regarding the weight... Been trying to make that point here for years now...
Not quite...AJ will win because of Usyk more than because of anything about AJ.
I always like to read a well reasoned post paragraph by paragraph... So I am right at the point where I will be reading some characteristics you note about AJ...

Before I start reading those characteristics let me clarify something: Here is where I am coming from... Watch tape of Usyk. As a cruiser he almost makes my top ten, probably on my top 15... Guy has head movement, great timing, makes adjustments, fights in all ranges, throws all punches, is defensively brilliant, counters well, and finishes in the manner that one often sees in Sonny Liston. That is what I see on tape. Then I watch Usky transition to heavy: I see an entirely different fighter. I see a guy with his head up, waiting tobe clipped, a guy who moves straight back in long lines... Ali and Jones get away with that... Even Ali was clipped by that iconic Frazier left hook though. So I ask myself? WHY? Why change what is great into what looks like a shell of itself? Then it hits me (pardon the pun)... EVERYTHING Usyk did as a cruiser was based off of one basic quality Usyk had: Usyk was a very physical cruiser weight. He had the ability to impose himself, at that weight, which set the table for everything else he was able to do. With that said, I am going to read and respond to the rest of your post... But we can both see that my opinion is reallynot based much on AJ. Aside from the fact he is a big strong heavy who is faster and hits a lot harder than Chisora... at least the version of Chisosora Usyk fought.

Regarding Joshua. I believe Usyk still has to make Joshua respect him. Ruiz is a much bigger puncher than Usyk, and has faster hands as well... I actually think Ruiz is quite talented... Ibring him up because he was able to exploit Joshua. Joshua may be hesitant, but eventually he will be forced to go after Usyk and to try to land big punches. If Usyk goes straight back he will be clipped hard... as he was against Chisora.

100% agree on Del Boy (Chisora) love the guy... Always brings it, has shown how not being preoccupied with a goose egg has allowed him many opportunities to fight big fights, and always made it interesting... AND he did expose Usyk. he showed how beatable Usyk is at heavy, even Usyk thought he may have lost that fight (true). But DelBoy is just more along his career than Joshua. And DelBoy is pretty basic, what we thought we SHOULD see was Usyk expose him, what we DID see was Usyk really having to hope the judges saw it his way.

What I expect of Joshua is to fight aggressively. Watch tapes of Louis against Conn... My philosophy regarding any puncher is... it is not a "rounds" game for a puncher, it is a "numbers" game. Probability. It was much better for a puncher when a championship fight went 15 rounds because a puncher's strategy is always to try to create as many opportunities to land big shots... A puncher has to think like "against this guy? I will need 10 good opportunities to blow him away." for this fight with Usyk AJ is a puncher... He knows Usyk faltered... all he has to do is create opportunities for big shots. AJ doesn't have to worry about rounds... or Usyk landing. he has to simply fight aggressively. AJ should take a book also from the Tyson Spinks fight. Never let Usyk in the fight...Instead of worrying about gassing, go after Usyk with the sole intent of landing as many big shots as he can.

Joshua is not a great fighter but great fighters give us precident, much as law gives us such with previous legal decisions. Marciano against Moore is a perfect example of precident here... Marciano took a lot of leather from Archie, and ultimately just kept coming. Moore even knocked Marciano down once...

                    Thats how I see it.
