Spence moving up to 168 to fight Canelo would be about as smart as Canelo moving up to heavyweight and fighting Usyk. It dont makes sense to me. The Charlo fight I could see as reasonable and the Benavidez fight is dangerous for Canelo if you ask me but come on Spence?

How do you know Spence can’t be bigger than SRL? You know how boxing works? Spence’s career is based on hitting 147 and draining. It doesn’t mean he can’t fight northbound, nor eat to gain the muscle for 168. Spence already acknowledged 160. The reason why Spence wouldn’t fancy higher is because Spence might WANT to continue at a lower weight and not take on harder fights the way Canelo, Duran, or SRL did. Spence at 154-160 he would be stronger.

Nope. From 175 which Canelo was already filled on the scale would mean adding 15-20lbs just to take the power from HW. I doubt Canelo would even hit 200lbs…

Spence hydrates about 15lbs on fight night. That’s already close to 160lbs. It means if he were to fight Canelo at 164. Spence could add 5lbs more muscles a new regimen. He would probably deplete 6lbs for the scale, be about 170lbs fight night against Canelo. Spence already walks around 175lbs. he would to focus on power techniques for his camp at a higher weight with no drain as he would trying to hit 147

Looking to far down. Secure and win the Plant fight first, looking to far down the road you tend to miss what is in front of you.

As someone pointed out earlier, SRL was 5'10/5"11 and Spence might be 5'9. The era of big Welters stopped with Tito and Oscar but it appears that Vergil and Boots are continuing that era as both are bigger guys.

Spence could be as big as you claim he is but he's also not SRL or Duran in terms of ability. You matter of factly mentioned those two like it's just something that anyone can do. So, do you know how boxing works?

What r u complaining about? Spence inadequate to fight Canelo at a catchweight? I mentioned SRL and Duran because they weighed higher than Spence has. what does skill have to do with this? Lol

Geez! A fighter going up in weight and being successful at a higher weight depends on more than just their ability to carry the weight but also the skill set and how it translates to higher weights versus naturally larger guys.

You mentioned SRL and Duran as a reference without accounting for those guys skill level. Spence might be solid at 154 but he's notably smaller than Jermell who is the man there. Spence would be fortunate to have Cotto level success at 154.

Spence back in 2015 fought Phil Lo Greco at LM. And weighed in at 162 fight night.

2014 Jermall weighed 170 vs. Lenny Bottai

                      Man STFU!

Beterbiev would be like 38, 39 years old and you would already have a built in excuse to add to your other 101 EXCUSES! Plus he only has like 18 fights so that would be your #102 EXCUSE.

                      Let's just both agree YDKSAB.
