To be honest, don't totally recall when Charlo was mando, but wasn't that when he moves up to fight GGG? If so, who's the much harder fight? You can't claim "he's ducking" when he's fighting a much tougher fight.

I never mentioned the term “ducking”…..one can choose who to fight without it being a duck. Ducking implies fear, Canelo doesn’t fear any fighter…I don’t sense that from him. What I will say is Canelo is a perfect example of as we said during MOUT operations in the Army, “the path of least resistance…”

Nah Spence could be big if he wants to. Industry knows how much Spence drains and camps to make 147. He’s at the threshold. He could easily fight at 154-160. Spence doesn’t have to be thin just because he looks thin at 147. He can just bulk up and get loose the way Duran and SRL did up to 168. Besides, Spence said he’d go to 160 for Canelo for the last 2-3 years. 164 would be fair. Duran and SRL fought at 168. Spence bigger than both of them

well, he brought him on himself. Instead of chasing guys to get a fight, fight the guys with belts so if he wants a belt, he has to come to you. Andrade's career is what it is due to his own doing.. Sometimes you've got to bet on yourself, take a big fight for next to nothing in pay to make a point, then you become the man. These mfers want to sit around, fight bs mandatories and be thrust into the ppv spotlight overnight.

All the blame goes to the WBC! If they had not made Canelo "Franchise" Champion, we would've seen Canelo vs. Charlo @ 160! Now Charlo has to move up to 168! I still want to see it, but at 160, it would've been more competitive!

LOL the fact that people still think canelo is looking for easy fight makes no sense to me. He's clearly fighting the best available, that makes sense. He said his desire was to clean 168, which he's one fight from doing, then he's going after the best remaining, which include Charlo, regardless of his last performance

Not only that, but Canelo has mentioned him on more than one occasion. Always respectful and said he’d like that fight after unifying. He hasn’t been on the radar since Charlo had nothing to offer at 168 where Canelo has been campaigning for undisputed for a while now. And Charlo didn’t sound excited at all to fight Canelo in his most recent post fight interview, changing his tune about going up for him.

I dont think we’ll ever see Canelo at 160 again unless it’s Spence. Spence has been calling Canelo out for a really long time now and wants to make the move up. It’d be a beyond huge fight in Texas.


I don’t know why people are s hitting on Charlo for his last performance. You run into guys like that eventually. He hit him with absolutely every punch in existence and Montiel just had heart and durability for days and can crack. Charlo didn’t look bad, he was just in a real fight against someone there who didn’t want to be denied. Montiel didnt care how well Charlo was fighting and landing. That kind of will is hard to stop, even when firing on all cylinders. Lesser champions would and have wilted in those situation.
