Did Canelo take on the best light heavyweight there was when he wanted a belt at that weight? What’s good for the goose is good for the gander….

All the fighters are saying it’s a good fight. Some even say it’s 50-50. I thinkI’m going to trust the professionals over a few trolls on boxingscene

Thread title's accurate but kinda misleading cos it suggests Akhmedov's somehow being dismissive of the fight. Actually Akhmedov's really pretty complimentary towards both Tank and Mario, merely acknowledging the facts of it and saying it's a fight that makes sense for both of 'em. Be looking forward to seeing Batyr back in action tonight but aside from that I'll be rooting for him cos of the Barrios L he also seems like a decent sorta dude and he's definitely a decent fighter.

“Well, in theory, he has a chance because he has size, he’s a young guy and he will be able to control the distance,” Akhmedov said. “But Gervonta is a super-talented guy, so it’s hard to predict this fight. Style-wise, it’s gonna be more suitable to Gervonta Davis because he’s a fast, small guy who likes to fight on the inside. Mario is a rangy fighter. But style-wise, I see Gervonta as a little bit of a favorite. If Mario can keep the distance, then he’s very capable. It all depends on the weight cut because Mario’s a big guy, and how he feels about himself after our fight, if he’s a hundred percent. That’s also a question.”

According to Canelo's fans, yes. But at least Canelo fought an actual champ and not *Checks who WBA regular champ is at 175* Robin Krasniqi...whoever the **** that is

That’s not what I asked, I asked if he fought the BEST there was to challenge at light heavyweight. The wbo belt is the newest of the alphabet soup belts abs the lowest regarded one so anyone can attack belts and their standing. Because of that belt ray mercer, Tommy Morrison, Michael bent, Herbie hide, Sergei Liakhovich, and Francesco Damiani are past “world champions.”

Tank wouldn't have been able to fight Taylor, Taylor wouldn't take that fight. He's chasing Crawford.

But Batyr knows that - he's just salty over the robbery Barrios got over him.

its sad this guy is fighting on the underard and prob making 1/10 what barrios is making after beating him or at worse getting a draw. not that tank fighting akhmedov is some great fight but only in boxing and in the ***** family can you fail upwards

These two guys are actually fighting for a mando spot to Taylor.
Can only hope the winner challenges Taylor and doesn't biatch out like Ryan.
