Sadly Paul Brothers will sell more PPV's than Showtime's Professional Fights so I say Great Investment by Espinoza and Showtime

A Good Circus can make a lot of money too

Mother of *** these guys are outta touch.

Their ratings are going down to abysmal levels yet these are the tactics these guys can muster? Haymon and Floyd must be incredibly convincing. What a sap Espinoza is.

Instead of tarnishing the sport with thse clown acts, these guys should try putting on some actual fights, make Tank fight someone, make Charlo fight someone, make Spence vs Crawford. Etc.

Bad fit for Showtime's demo. Bizarre.

Boxing is already in a bad place these exhibition/fake fights are turning it into a joke. Everyone knows what boxing needs: good match ups.

I'm pretty sure if I go back to DAZNs Logan Paul and Jake Paul thread I would see you in there criticising it lol.
            Double standards Oldskoolg. No surprise.
I hope PBC ends up taking their stable to an app, you would probably praise them for being innovative lmao.

PBC are the worse out of the lot. Hence why Showtime are looking at exhibition fights and signing Paul, and why Fox aren’t currently keen on renewing their contract with PBC unless they see improved numbers from them.

Mental gymnastics would be in place.

Especially if the circus is a real match with Mayweather, looks like that's what Showtime is setting up to me.

The ratings are the problem! People don't watch the real fights like Boots vs. Lipinets! Last weekend's entire Showtime card was fire, better than the Canelo card! So that's why the exhibition fights are killing it financially! Real boxing fans know the Showtime card for May 29th (Nordine Oubaali vs Nonito Donaire) is great, but that doesn't mean the ratings will be good! Same goes for Charlo vs. Castano, and Casimero vs. Rigondeaux! Those are great matchups, but will they have more views than Mayweather vs. Paul? Probably not!

What about GBP and DAZN? How's that working out?

Golden Boy Promotions could leave DAZN at end of 2021, looking at possible Triller deal
                      May 6, 2021

Golden Boy Promotions have worked with DAZN pretty much since the service launched in the U.S. in 2018, but with the contract between the parties expiring at the end of 2021, there is big speculation that Oscar De La Hoya’s company could be leaving the streaming platform for a deal with Triller.

, with De La Hoya telling the outlet:
“From my personal experience with Triller and watching the numbers they have put up in just their two shows, I’ve been extremely impressed. We are engaged in conversations with executives at Triller and will see where they land.”

The 48-year-old De La Hoya still, at last update, , but it has to be made clear that this wouldn’t be an immediate break; , and again, the deal runs through 2021.

There has been for months now a strong possibility that Golden Boy might find it tough to stay with DAZN, and DAZN might find it tough to keep them in the mix. The biggest thing by far is that . Canelo had, with respect to some other fighters, propped up Golden Boy for years as their only true star.

Younger fighters like Munguia, Vergil Ortiz Jr, and Ryan Garcia — who has had his own repeated, very public problems with Golden Boy — are coming along. But they’re not yet mega-blockbuster stars, either, with Garcia the closest the trio come to that. Other than them and Joseph Diaz Jr, it’s hard to find fighters on the Golden Boy roster who can capably headline a really notable card.

The pandemic and the loss of Canelo have obviously hit Golden Boy hard.

But there are still months for this to play out. Triller has stormed into the boxing world with a pair of novelty events, but planning a in Teofimo Lopez vs George Kambosos Jr . They’re still novices in general, but definitely at that, and it’ll be a learning curve.

Triller’s interest in the more standard side of the boxing game could fade by the end of the year. Or they could figure things out, dig in, start with a real plan of attack, and have Golden Boy — which has a good, now every experienced boxing staff — as a partner helping coordinate a lot of things at the very least.

Again, months to go to see how this works out or doesn’t or whatever happens. But it’s definitely a “situation of note.”
