Dawson is a slick southpaw, can't remember if Joe ever fought a guy like Dawson. Chad will be a tough fight for him. Joe beats the Super Six and Johnson. Aaah **** I hate giving Joe props

while hopkins fought 16 out of his 20 title defenses against top 10 guys. he also won the title from mercado and lost it to taylor who were in the top 10. calzaghe beat eubank for the title who hadn't been in the top 10 for 2 years after he fell off.

and as far as being scared of coming to america. calzaghe was literally scared of coming to america. he said he was scared of flying lol! his fear suddenly subsided when hopkins and jones looked beatable though which is strange.

You're too overly critical of Calzaghe, Yes am a fan but a sensible fan of his, Its easy to disect every single boxers resume and make it look worthless, Joe has fought almost everyone in and out of his division in the last 10 years before he moved up to light-Heavyweight for a payday/retirement funds.

He fought people who gave him fits in old age and beat them handily, Give credit where credit is due.

I never liked him because I hate the way he fights. He does deserve cred for what he has accomplished, just can't get behind his style. Style aside, I think kessler is the best win of his career, the hopkins fight was just well... ugly, and RJJ is not the same RJJ although the kid inside me wants to believe roy can return to some resemblance of his former self. The thing about Joe is, I think everyone would give him his respect and stfu as the OP put it if he fought once more against Dawson, this way he shuts up the naysayers and can go out on a win he can truly be proud of, until that day, he will always have his doubters and never get the respect you think he deserves.

i dont pay much attention to calzaghe, all i know is that he thoroughly beat bops ass
sure they might've not been hurting slaps, but he touched bhop enough to win
if paulie malignaggi can win with feather packed punches, so can jo to the e calzaghe

Dawson retires folks. And once he is done with Johnson in the rematch, I don't see either trying too hard to for a fight with him. Probably not enough money. And a definite chance of a ass whooping.

i'm just comparing hopkins to calzaghe and hopkins resume is far better. im pointing this out for ignorant people who say they did exactly the same thing.

he "almost" fought everyone. he wouldn't fight glen johnson. he never fought the "other guy" with 21 title defenses in the same division at the same exact time as him.
